It's even a better deal if you just entered for the whole season all at once. I know some people just have better things to spend there money on but I register when I get my tax refund back. It's pretty much a bonus cause I get the refund which is a plus in this state as it is

The green is the way to go. I have shot all 4 colts and the green seems to stand out in bright light and of course low light. I hit a doe last season and didn't get a pass through and it was broad daylight and was able to follow the nock all the way through the woods til she disappeared over the ridge and found her and arrow glowing an hour later. The only pain in the butt is having to carry something to shut them off.

I do use it on my spoons and flies but not on any of my meat rigs. I use the salmon feast in gel and Herring formula in liquid. Usually we put some on our hands like lotion before we setup to rid any other scent from something else we may have touched. As for a hook up ratio I wouldn't say it improves numbers but it does make them attack it a bit harder than some other times and then again I have been out and some other fisherman are struggling and I am having a banner day and bigger weights. Maybe it's luck but maybe it's the scent. I also always have a old can of WD-40 in the boat as well, it's something with the fish oils they use. I hope it helps but I will never not have any and not use it when I am out I do know that.

I know you said you were looking for an I/O but my boat is up for sale as well. I have Twin outboards on a offshore setup. Both motors are just over a year old and everything goes with the boat except my rods and lures but everything goes with it. I am looking to go bigger. I have a 2003 Trophy 2509 Walkaround Hardtop with everything you described but the I/O's and it trailers really easily. I have more pics posted here on LOU

Well I thought we had an early start hitting the water at 6 but seems the bite was just ending. We set up in 120 and point North, trolled over 3 marks I have had since May and sure enough rigger goes off and screams out. To our surprise it turned out to be a feisty 14# king that just wouldn't give up. Well I thought that was the start of a good day so we kept heading north marking a lot of loose bait balls and nothing around them so worked out to 480' and turned boat when wind switched out of NW and trolled our line back grabbing a few lakers on our way back in. Everything came of the riggers with a Mag Sea Sick Waddler being the king of the day. Ended up going 5 for 7 with 3 mid Kings and 2 Lakers. Nothing on meat nor the flasher/fly today. Looks like a day off this week to see if I can find something for the LOC. Also on a side note I have listed my boat for sale because I have found a bigger boat that will set me up for chartering starting next season. Anyone interested shoot me a message

Freebird I see where you are going with this whole thing but am starting to lose the reasoning. I also have run a successful business for 17 years and if you have been able to get through with out raising any costs well my friend you are very lucky. Fuel prices, minimum wage and equipment has all increased over those years and not to mention the cost of vehicles and boats or just cost of living. Granted I don't raise my costs 60% but if I added it up for the past 17 years I would bet I am over 100% increase from when I started. The LOC hasn't done that for many years so while it seems a lot to you and others to us I feel was needed to keep some anglers because plan and simple it costs more to fish. I just re powered my boat with year old leftovers and that costs me over $50,000, now many years ago it was half if not more. Plan and simple don't enter then, no need to raise hell about it as times have changed.

I understand your point but look at it this way, how long or how many hours would you have to work to make that $25,000. I think it's the same concept except I would rather spend the $40 for the chance or the excuse to go fishing and spend a day or whatever on the water fishing. My uncle won a spring ESLO and yes the boats were nice and the cash and gear to, but as with most tourneys legally they have to tax anyone if it's over $600. Just like my kid gets to go to college for free cause my wife works there but j have to ad that tuition payment to my income and get taxed on that amount. I didn't spend it so why am I being taxed, cause nothing in this world is free except scrap metal and junk.

The change doesn't bother me either. If you look at the entry raise and then look at the difference I. Prize money it kind of makes it a bit more worth while I think. I mean yah they went weekly for the prizes which didn't go up but the overall prize money went up. Unless I read it wrong I am just fine with it. Also if you enter the LOC as a whole in the Spring it's only a $10 increase from past years

That's basically all I am selling the rest of it just goes with the motors. I paid just over 50k for both of them installed so someone is getting a great boat. The fuel mileage alone is next to none as well not to mention all the added power to get anywhere in a hurry or just cruise. We troll all day plus running to spits and barely burn a quarter tank -

Sea-IV posted a topic in Boats for Sale
I have my current boat going up for sale, looking to move into something a bit bigger for a future business. I am the second owner of this meticulously maintained 20th anniversary edition. Last July I re powered the boat with Twin 2013 Evinrude Etec 200HO's. These were leftovers purchased from Pugleys and installed there also. Will be in for its first service in spring and both engines have about 170 hours each. There is a transferable warranty with them as well which I added the extended for an additional 2 years for a total of 5 years. The boat is fully equipped with 2 Cannon STX 10 HS(2013), Fishhawk Xd +Depth(2013), JRC Radar, Icon VHF, AM/FM CD Radio and a new Lowrance HDS12 GEN 2 with Sonar Hub with Chirp. Also has 2 Manual Side Planer Reels. Boat itself is equipped with a Alcohol Stove, Sink and a Potty with Holding tank. Boat also has a was down setup. I will leave all safety gear with boat as well. Basically bring your rods and lures and go fishing. Price is firm as the motors are basically new and includes a Venture I Beam Dual axle Trailer. Boat is on the water for about a month longer before being pulled and winterized. NADA has this boat valued at 43,000 with 2003 Motor and no Trailer or Fishing Equipment More Pics to Follow. I am asking $30,000 for everything and willing to pay for winter storage and wrapping. Boat is also listed on Boat Trader I can also be reached at 585-314-4199 or by email at [email protected] Tom Riley -

Thanks everyone for the replies. I just wish everyday can be like this. It's very for my girls to say to me they want to go fishing and let alone have a banner day on top of it. We didn't mark a whole lot of fish so to actually capitalize on those marks, let alone in the rain and downpour was an awesome feeling. Also my daughter thinks I am the best dad atlwast for today. Those who have teenage daughters know what I mean so again thanks. -
Well today we left dock at 6am being my keys for my cabinet lock broke off in it this morning so had to wait for a set of bolt cutters. Anyhow we decided to stay close to Irondequoit and head straight out the chute. That we did and set down in 150 dropped 2 wires and 2 riggers. I wanted to put out the copper but it was a bit to choppy for my liking and turns out we didn't need it. As soon as we broke 250 fow it was on. We couldn't keep a single rod in the water, as soon as we get one King in another rod would fire and then get everything set back and another would fire. Everything took fish, Big Wheenie board with Meat, Green Dot Spinny with 42nd St. Atomik Fly, spoon in mags colors were any Tuxedo with Green in them. Northeast troll slow speed only 2.3 at ball, wires out 300-315, I found 46* temp at exactly 100 down so we stuck with it and it paid as we went 13 for 16 and only 3 Lakers. The ones we lost we absolute screamers ripping line and wire out like I haven't seen in a long time. Wish we could have seen them but our biggest was 14#. It's always fun especially when I have my daughter on board as well, she hears that line ripping out and say Hell No this one is yours I am not reeling that in. She is funny but hangs in there. Wish I had photos but was way to fast and furious to stop to take any. Always next time though.

Temp out of in Fromt of Braddocks was 44 at 110 and 48 at 70 down. We were literally adjusting by 5 feet at a time just to stay around that 46 degree mark. -
I have the HDS 12 with a 83/200 ducer which marks the balls pretty good in 200 but 83 is excellent. I did have the 50 but didn't like the images I was getting on the screen. With this unit I went the extra mile and bought the chirp ducer with the sonar hub and that is the cats meow and well worth the money.

That's actually not a bad report considering that I heard some of the Sodus Guys were having a issues as well. We did our usual trip down to Braddocks Sat and Sunday. The temps were whacky there as well as the current but we did fair pretty good Sat. morning til about 11, ended with 13 for 16 with 4 major Kings and 4 mid teens and the rest being lakers. Today wasn't as good but did get 2 majors and 1 17# laker which was fun on the 450 copper but had to cut day short due to my lack of oil in my tanks and the alarms ringing off. The lake will set back up for us again soon and they will be back. Our best water was 160-200 and was between 70-115 down with meat being the best producer for us -
I agree with BigBlue, I use the Shimano Talora Roller rods also for all my wires. As well I beat them up pretty good and haven't had an issue yet and that's with people that have never been out for Salmon before and not knowing what to do.
