I tie direct with a Rapala knot though I do have a few that have split rings on them

I used to run them from time to time 4 Browns and steelhead on Ontario with quite a bit of success when I lived out there. Seems like not many people out there even know what they are though. Only problem was Kings would tear them up and you can't really put a big enough hook on them without affecting the action to make them viable King lures . Now I live closer to Champlain and I challenge you to find a trout and salmon troller that doesn't have at least 20 in their box. Deadly on the land locks

It will only be the latest for a few months I'm sure LOL. I bought the Gen 2 Helix 10 mega SI because I wanted the latest and then 3 months later they come out with the Gen 3. It never ends

I was researching the exact same thing the other day and best I can tell there is a solix gen 3 coming with the enhanced Mega capabilities like on the Helix gen 3 but it's not there yet. I saw the same thing you did to where it was saying on the solix gen2 the mega only went to 125 ft. Perhaps the gentleman above owns a solex in a speaking from personal experience and the Gen 2 on the solix already has the enhanced capabilities. My next call was going to be to hummingbird as they will obviously know the answer.

I just used the standard glue stick that comes in the cheap Rod tip repair kits that you can buy pretty much everywhere and that has helped up to the test of time pretty well and if I ever wanted to remove it just apply heat and & pull
