    Just keep a lot of space between boats. A 1/2 mile is being considerate. Definately different game than walleye. I fish western erie as well.

    New to the salmon trolling game..How do these sliders work ? Are they like a stackable cheater hooked onto main line ?

    I really dont know what colors work good. I believe greens and blues maybe black . I dont have alot to invest as just got boat motor rebuilt, shew, that hurt .     Looking for some used or reasonable priced rigger balls. I have old style cannon mag 10's and hope they will handle the 12 lbers. Any help or guidance would be appreciated. I live in Ohio so shipping would be needed. thanks all, Mike

    Is a copper or steel setup like this, a mono backer, then a bit of braid, to hook say a planer board to, then the mainline. Deploy mainline until getting to braid, then put on planer board ?

    Well, my side of the story. Got to Olcott Tues afternoon and she was rollin, waited a bit and went out in front of power plant, caught 6 or 7 small steelies and 1 keeper abut 25". Day 2, 6 kings and 4 steelies. Had a big king straighten a swivel and 4 or 5 real good rips, and a handfull of throwbacks. A very nice day on the pond. Came home early due to weathermans advice, Hmm, kinda questioned that after looking out the door. Anyhow, Olcott has raised their cleaning price to 2.00 a fish now, worth it but hope it doesnt go up, gonna start finding carcasses in crazy places.
