  1. No thanks, cash only
  2. We went out and had tons of marks on the ff but we just couldn't get them to bite. Went 0 for 2 after a couple hours of fishing, then our fishfinder decided to quit....
  3. Yea Elmira is a couple hours SOUTH of us, a bit far to go for some tackle. We'll fish with what we have and hope for the best.
  4. Thanks for all of the help. Does anyone recommend any south shore launches? We usually launch out of Emerson park at the north end but if there are any southern launches we'll go there.
  5. We are new to trolling this year and we are limited on our medium/small spoons, would using magnum sized spoons affect our catch rate?
  6. Hoping to go out tomorrow afternoon and fishing into the night. Will we have better luck on Cayuga or Owasco, and what are some depths you recommend fishing in? Really hoping to catch some fish as we haven't been having any luck on lake O. Thanks in advance.
  7. Don't mean to hijack, but does anyone think the lowrance chirp is worth the money? Also the elite-7 is more expensive than the elite-5 but is it worth it for 2 inches? Thanks
  8. Tomorrow (9/13/14) we're planning on heading out of Oswego and wondering what our best bet is for catching fish. Kings, Cohos, Browns, Lakers, anything. What depths and FOW are working best with what colors. I don't know about "fishing the marks" because we have a sonar unit that doesn't like to work in any significant depths. Thanks, GeckoGuy
  9. Green and purple flasher flies
  10. I was just out and the lake was very flat. We went out and caught 3 steelies. Decent fishing for us, good luck.
  11. looking at the weather right now, don't think its fishable...we're going to Cayuga,
  12. Thanks very much for the info! We just hope to be at least half as successful as you! Nice fish!
  13. well, turns out waves are 4ft already, only going to get worse. Headed to Cayuga instead.
  14. We're really looking to catch fish tomorrow and we're thinking about Cayuga because of O's small craft advisory. We are pretty new to trolling and want to know how deep are the fish and how many fow are you fishing? Thanks
  15. I'm gonna head up and try it out, I live 1 hour away too. I have a 20 footer cc that is built as an "offshore bay boat", so it handles waves very well. If we have to, we'll sit on our buddy's sailboat and drink coffee until the waves die down.
  16. ok got it! we'll keep in touch.
  17. Nope, that's going to be our winter project. We are fishing out of our 20' proline cc and trying desperately to catch some salmon. We are going to be out on sunday morning.
  18. wow! yes you did! we had to leave quickly because we were late for something, but you told us about using the flashers and flies. thanks, by the way.
  19. Thanks for the spoons! Seller replied quickly and sent it out within the hour of payment!
  20. How much for the spoons? I have no idea how much they are worth and I don't want to insult you.
  21. Thanks, we'll get it soon Actually, we headed over to owasco lake a caught a nice 24" lake trout!
  22. I have a 20' proline center console for sale. It is a great boat and handles Lake Ontario like a dream. Very solid boat. Includes lowrance elite 5-dsi fish finder/gps, 2 cannon uni-troll downriggers, and a 1989 Evinrude 120 hp engine that runs great with new lower unit 40 hours on it. Also comes with a trailer. Asking just $4250
  23. We're out here fishing near all the other boats an listening to others catching on the radio while we are out here catching absolutely nothing, don't know what we're doing wrong
  24. Thanks, I've gathered info from the fishing reports section and we hope to catch some today
  25. Thanks, I assume 80-250 is depth, but how far down should my downriggers be?
