Tracker must have a customer relations dept. The thing that resonates with a corporation like this is bad PR. Let's get an address and help this guy out by writing some e-mails, referring to this thread and the lack of response from the factory... as well as their dealer.
A manufacturing defect can happen and that's why we pay for warranties. That's right, they don't give them, they are included as part of the purchase price. But communication is cheap and when they refuse to keep an open line of dialog with a guy who has been both patient and respectful, someone at the corporate level needs to know. (In fact, if they are any good, they want to know.)
Imagine how big the advertising budget is for Tracker. Dollars spent to get US, the boat buying segment of the market, to just give them a look. They lost me and I'm an aluminum boat guy with a 30 year old boat. Exactly the guy they need to drag that shiny new lure in front of!!!
Bottom line is that I'm glad they are fixing your boat, and I hope you never need this level of service again. But if you can get us a link or address, I'd be glad to send the first letter.

When I first set up for Oneida Lake in the mid 80's, I bought a pair of used Cannon Dual cranks from a shooting friend that had a bunch of years ahead of me. The weights he gave me he called "herbies". They were 10 pound fish shaped and he had them painted chartreuse. My dad and I caught a pile of fish behind them. Ran them like that for 6 - 7 years.
As I went from 2 to 4 riggers, I also felt that was too much flash packed in a small area. Toned everything down to dull greens and browns. I think it was a toss up for us. There were days I'd mix some bright ones back in when it was slow. Didn't think it hurt. Keep in mind everything there was running within 3 to 7 feet off the bottom in only 30 ft of water.
Looking to replace venerable mid 80's Evinrude VRO 90. Would like to stay around that size, something from the last decade, 4 stroke or etec.
If you see something in your local classifieds or shop give me a shout.

Tracker,
A lot of us have chosen aluminum boats over the years (mine's a 30 yr old Sea Nymph) because of their versatility and durability. Once outfitted, the last thing a guy wants to do is to have to strip the boat back down for a repair that will leave him worrying about "what's next".
Hope the company treats you right. New aluminum boats are not always chosen because of cost...I've kicked some tires lately and used glass is definitely cheaper. With the number of units they put out they owe it to customers to stand behind their claims.
I bet there would be a large group of LOU supporters willing to stand behind you if a letter writing campaign were to get started. Get a better picture of those cracks before it goes and let us all re-post them!! Especially a 3 year old boat that isn't trailered....inexcusable.

As it turns out I should have stuck around a few more days! Still trying to fill that deer tag, but the deer have become as elusive as those late season ducks. I did manage to get some long overdue chores done and moved a tree stand I wanted to reposition, but would rather be cleaning a bucket of perch any day.
Did you find any better bait than we had?
Way to celebrate! Spent the better part of the last two days getting gear ready for tomorrow's opener. Can't give mice free reign for 11 months and expect to be problem free. Hope your back's felling better.
Three years ago I picked up a tick on Wellesley Island that I know wasn't on me for more than 8 hours. It removed easily and left behind a dime sized bruise. Brought the tick in to my doc. He said "little chance" you were infected because it wasn't on you long enough, but we'll send the tick out for testing for peace of mind. 10 days later, report that the tick wqas infected. 15 days later, my test finally came back and I was positive for Lymes. Close to 30 days before I started 20 day antibiotic routine. Blotches over my whole torso, felt like ****! Arthritis symptoms for a year.
Since then they say be on the lookout for recurring symptoms of joint pain and tiredness! Really? I'm in my 60's and I'm tired and achey most every night I'm out in the field.
Had one tick on/in me since that I removed with a tick twister from the pet store that I keep in my truck. This time I insisted on the antibiotic that day while waiting for the test to come back. Fortunately, that one wasn't positive and I threw the rest of the treatment out. Blood test showed the old infection but no new acute case. They say I will still test positive for years.
My advice to everyone is to not mess around with them! Spray hunting clothes with permithrin (Sawyer from Walmart) and be on the lookout every trip out. Prevention far exceeds any cure to date.
Congrats Kevin!
Still fishing although it's pretty slow by summer standards. Picked up one walleye and one smallmouth the other night. Plenty of geese around this AM. With duck, goose and deer rifle opening on the same morning there was plenty of shooting around.
Nice to have "options".

Put in a couple hours last night. Went 2 for 4, but one strike every half hour isn't what we've grown accustomed to. Had to move around a lot.
Surface water temp was down to 53! I'm still stuck in 30 to 35 ft of water, prolbably need to forget my summer successes and start to explore different depths.
Anyone have any experience with fall perch fishing here?
Just had an unbelievable summer fishing walleyes in the river.
One of the reasons I concentrated on them was the lack of an early season perch bite for me. My partners and I couldn't buy a good day in our best spots. They finally concentrated on northerns and I on the eyes.
Hoping the fall turns around because as the days cool off I'd rather fish earlier in the day vs my evening walleye fishing.
From what I've heard, I'm not the only one who just couldn't find them this year. Has anyone had any luck on the river lately?
Thanks,
Gene
Nice catches and pictures. We've played around out there for smallmouths and seen boats running sideplaners. Always assumed they were after eyes. Might have to give it a try next season. Keep up the good work.
Glad to share. Had it not been for guys willing to share techniques on this board I would be sitting home lamenting the crappy goose season I had this year!
Easy night...3 in an hour even though the weeds were an issue. Stayed out for another 45, threw back 2 more.
Weather was perfect, and the moon killer when it first rose.
Took 6 last night, 1 throwback and lost a beauty. Fishing was a little spotty though. Had to change spots often and surface weeds an issue along shore. Out again this AM.
Have a lifelong friend coming up for a couple fishing trips and I wanted to be sure I would still find evening fish. Had no intention of keeping fish today, just scouting. Ran into a couple guys on a favorite spot so I headed downriver to another good spot. Never had a strike in a few passes so headed back upriver. Roybee was still there and we fished the same run for about an hour. We both hit them hard. I released 29-27-27-25-22-21. At one point he had a double on his riggers and I had one on my bottom bouncer at the same time!
Can't believe fishing is still this good. Water temp has dropped 5 degrees to about 68.
Farmers are starting to chop corn and if you're lucky enough to have a field they like, there are birds around.
Would not say there are a lot of birds on the river, but same deal, if you've got places they like it could be worthwhile.
Let me know how that 15 bird limit works for ya.
Had a good morning today and brought home three. 24, 25 and 26 inches. Threw back 2 and lost one. At that length an inch makes a big difference in the weight of the fish. I decided to get the scale out and they weighed within an ounce or two of 4, 5 and 6 pounds respectively.
That's pretty typical of our St Lawrence fish and I was wondering how that compared to other guy's bodies of water? I sometimes think our pictures don't do our fish justice.
Ran into Roybee and his dad on the water. Said hi and headed to my spots. Hot there too. kept a 26 that was not likely to recover, a 22 and a 21. Threw back a 25 and a 23. Had one breakoff, weak spot in line not a monster fish. Interesting, catching fish BEFORE dark.
