I still have not caught one either I really hope it happens when I'm back in Florida in May

These sharks were caught on Sanibel island. Where in Florida are you going? Lots of tarpon in southwest Florida right now.

So I got back to Florida again to get another weekend in of shark fishing this past weekend. We had heard that the water temps had got into the 70s meaning the bigger sharks were starting to move. After getting skunked the first two nights we set out again the third. Right at sunset, I had a good run but set the hook too soon. An hour after that another bait got picked up and the fight was on. Thirty minutes later I had my biggest shark to date on the beach, a lemon over 8'. The next night I put my buddy on his first shark. We also lost something huge to a broken line. The video of the catches is here: Now it's on to walleye season back here in Canada on the Detroit River!

My parents rented a place for the winter and I found a $100 round trip flight, so 2 weeks after leaving Florida I was back! We started out by going to the marina to catch bait fish. For some reason they weren't biting, but a charter boat came in and gave us two grouper carcasses and a kingfish carcass after fileting them. We had big baits! Went out that night and had one run but I set the hook too soon, not factoring that big baits means you have to give the shark the time to eat it. The next night we went out. I had a run right at sunset and lost it just 50 yards out. I was very upset now being 0/2 but put another bait out. An hour later the reel went off, a long, slow, but steady click. Could it be a winter Bull shark?!? I set the hook and we were on. A half hour later I landed the biggest shark of my life. A 8' 250lb bull. Amazing. The video is here: On our last night we had 3 runs. The first dropped it. The second straight "freight trained" my brother eventually breaking him off, I think it was another bull or even a tiger. The third we landed and it was a nice Sandbar shark. Overall amazing weekend!

So I've posted before catching sharks and here is another one out of southwest Florida. I've actually been here since Sunday but didn't have much luck until last night. It was a pretty cool day. We started out cast netting pilchards (tiny baitfish) and then brought them to a local marina where we caught catfish for shark bait. Catfish are the worst shark bait, however blacktips seem to like them and I figured a fresh bloody catfish was better than the frozen bait I had from previous days. So we set to the beach at 4pm and at 630 the reel which I had dropped a bait out on the kayak 350 yards starts screaming. I apologize that the shark footage isn't great, I had a talk with the cameraman about filming at night when it was all done. Either way an epic day of fishing going right up the food chain!

So today was pretty bittersweet. We took the boat out of the water which means two things: 1. Im done musky fishing until next June 2. I'll be in Florida shark fishing this time next week While this year I caught more fish than I ever imagined I would, I have to consider it a failure. My musky fishing goal was a 50" fish and I fell short. Oh well, I had a ton of fun trying and learned a lot. I'll be back at it next June. Here's a video of out last two fish of the year, 48" and 42". Tight lines!

If you live in Windsor you can get them at "We Got It" in Belle River. If not you can buy them online but it kind of sucks cause the bait is $20 and often so is the shipping charge.

It's been a tough week with work and weather so I haven't fished much, but I got out last night and we went 2/2 in under two hours. The weather is back to being terrible so I thought I'd make a video out of it. Both fish were caught on Shadzillas which have become my favourite bait this year. And yes I know my net sucks haha, I just spent $1000 on a new shark fishing set up so I need to delay the net expense to next year. Let me know what you think on the fish/video!

Here's a video of a blacktip I caught recently in Florida. Took me about 15 minutes to get it in and it jumped twice! These fish are a blast to catch, they are lightning fast.

Hi everyone, I assume a lot of you are like me. You love fishing, like to make videos, and use YouTube to share them with fellow fishermen. If so, you might be trying to grow your channel. If this is the case, I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread where everyone can share their channel so others can subscribe to it. Kind of like a "Subscribe to mine and I'll subscribe to yours" type of deal. It helps everyone out and takes all of 1 second to click a link and subscribe to a channel. Let's get it going! Here's my channel: youtu.be/KHcHabLCf1M

I did not, but maybe I will now that you say that.

Yeah temps have been about that and because of it the bite hasn't slowed, it's stopped completely. I was out Sunday and did not see a single fish caught by anyone. Maybe things will turn around this weekend but I am not optimistic. Stupid weather!

All of my musky fishing videos are either in Lake St Clair or the Detroit River.
