    I would look into Magnum Metalz thier quality, support, and price is superior to the others in my opinion. The gentleman that owns the company is the original designer of vector line. I've ran these for years and love them over any others i've owned or used. Scotty's are good if you don't mind free falling your weight, not a big fan of that myself or the belt drive.

    The gentleman who makes these is the original designer of the Vector downrigger. He sold that line which is owned by traxstech. I've spoke with him a few times great guy. I currently run the vectors and love them. I will definitely upgrade to his newest design.

    I have the boat you are speaking of. The boat handles rough water well and I do like that it is a deep hull. My boat has a soft top not the hardtop. When trolling in rought water it does tend to get pushed around more than other boats. Some would say it's like a giant bobber. But I feel it fishs well.
