  1. That was us that hung with you guys all the way down and back up to myers. The only chatter I heard on the radio was the cornell police dept. and the command center. For some reason these new radio systems that these depts.have, blow over on our marine radio's.
  2. No lampreys on the fish but I reeled in 2 on a jointed rapala, what a son of ----- to get off your hooks, pinched their heads and off they went, seen a bald eagle pick one up a short time later, that was cool. Lots of junk floating south so keep your eyes open guys.
  3. Went way south down in front of stewart park, Found dirty water, temp. 37.9 went 3 for 3 all in a total of 5 minutes, Brother caught a huge northern , So big couldn't get it in the net. We thought it was a big brown, But what a surprise. Spun around went back thru for another run, nothing so we headed north ,nothing all the way back to Myers, First trip of the year boat ran perfect. 1 salmon 1 brown 1 pike.
  4. Went out on Cayuga this morning went 3 dropped 3 all fish way down south by stewart park, Water temp. down there was 37.9 Brother caught a huge northern, So big couldn't get it in the net. other fish were salmon and browns. Water is still cold!
  5. Tuna reels repair .com
  6. I run #30 big game and #10 mono leader with no swivel, I use a nailknot to hook these two lines together, The less swivels you have means the less fleas built up on them when reeling in your line. Plus your line goes thru your eyes much better this way with out a swivel.
  7. Dj717, No, My brother was out Saturday, They went 2 and dropped one, He said the temp down south was 37, They ran both sides of the lake. I checked it at the creek it was 39, I dropped two real nice bows Monday and lost another yesterday, If all goes good i'm going out Saturday possibly Sunday This cold crap needs to go.

  11. Iv'e got pictures but taken with a 35mm from my northern Quebec trips, No digital, I'd love to share them with you guys but can't figure how i'd post them. Fish hunter we go north east of matagami 400 miles in the bush on logging roads, Takes 21 hours to get there and another 5 hour boat ride to the only two cabins on the water, The territory is owned buy one Indian, 70 miles long by 10 miles wide, He actualy owns up the center of two lakes and owns one whole one plus parts of a river that runs in to Hudson bay, Can't tell you exactly where it's at for personal reasons, It's a family deal we've had for years. Kind of like telling someone where your secret little creek is you fish. It's beautiful there though. Moose, bears, wolves, lynx, all the walleye you can catch, Northern pike it doesn't get any better than that. I'm going this September and i'll be sure to get some digital pictures for you guy's. It's so far up north they smoke the sturgeon and moose in a tee pee ,got pictures of that too. They also eat the mooses nose. Wow. They have stomacks of cast iron, What they eat would kill us.

  13. If you notice, When the lake turns over they get worse.
