  1. Thanks for the info. Ill try this out next time... sounds like a reasonable solution.
  2. I picked up a new to me boat (2004 Lund Tyee 1950) this past Saturday. I took it out for the first time tonight with the top, front brow and sides up. The entire enclosure and front window started fogging so bad I couldn't see and had to remove much of the enclosure and dry the windows. Any ideas how to keep the condensation away? Thanks a bunch.
  3. Picture of one of the bad downriggers sold to me.

  7. Works great, looking to upgrade 55lb thurst 24 Volts 54" shaft Battery Condition Check Foot control does not work, but never used it because of the copilot. Maybe a simple fix to get it working again. Buyer pays shipping. Let me know if you would like a quote. Thanks. For pics - http://up.craigslist.org/spo/5489968642.html $400
  8. Thanks for the reply. Yes, I agree for the most part. For the new models, there is a power drive v2 that has a 70lbs thrust rating for 24v. Some of the older models 24v systems have a 55lb or greater thrust rating for that size shaft. http://www.minnkotamotors.com/Products/POWERDRIVE-V2-70-LB-54-INCH-SHAFT--i-PILOT/
  9. I am looking to upgrade my trolling motor. Must be able to ship to Michigan. >54lbs thrust 24 volts IPilot like features >53" inch shaft Thanks
  10. This is great info. I ended up with E70294-NAG for $299 on anchorexpress.com. I am pumped to be able to use the Wi-Fish app throughout the boat mounted to an iPad(s), which will increase my screen.
  11. Thanks Everyone, the information is helpful. Does anyone know where I can find a "backup" retrieve handle.
  12. Thanks for the quick reply. I am only using an 8lb ball right now! Still painfully slow. Wires seem to be good - 10ga. Hoping someone has the backup arm you are referring to.
  13. I just purchased some older used electric Canon Mag 10a downriggers. The retrieve rate is extremely slow.... very frustrating actually. 1. Any ideas how to increase the retrieve rate? 2. Do you know where I may purchase an arm to make them a manual downrigger for the times I just want to get the ball up as fast as possible? Thanks!
  14. I am looking for an entry level chart plotter and sonar combo. Price range = $300. There are some things I like about each in the subject line. Raymarine E70294 - streaming via Wi-Fish. This would allow see sonar on my iPad/iPhone throughout the boat under the same transducer. If only the iPad had a way to run two apps on the same screen! - GPS accuracy/reviews seem better then many of the combos out there Question about E70294-NAG ($300) vs E70294-US ($260) 1. Anyone have an idea if the navionics+ is worth the $40 extra over c-map option? I use navionics boating with the upgrade for contours on my iPhone and love it. I have read that the E70294-NAG does not include all possible maps for my area, but it is hard to believe what is written on the internet. In addition, I have never used the C-Map app on the water, but it seems to have limitations without purchasing individual maps. Humminbird Helix 5 Sonar/GPS Combo ($300) - Screen size - 5" would be nice over the 4* Question about Humminbird 2. Does anyone have experience with the base UniMap and can provide an opinion... contour lines, clarity, etc. Overall questions 3. Does anyone have a preference on the sonar of the two? I have an 18 footer and do alot of trolling for trout/salmon and also spend some time inland pitching for walleye/pike. 4. It seems like the sonar options are similar... can anyone point out the primary differences? Thanks for your input!
  15. Thanks Nature12 for the sale. Looking forward to saving my arm this year!

  17. Thanks Thunder Struck - PM sent.
  18. Hello, I am looking for 2 electric downriggers. They will be going on 17.5 ft boat so I am trying to get more of a compact set, but am open to adjustable booms. They will have to be shipped as I am out of a port on Lake Superior. Just getting started so I am not looking to spend a ton. Thanks!
