Cable restraints ( snares ) are a great addition to trapping , i wish new york would get on the band wagon. Cable restraints passed the BMP ( best management practices) which is why pa can use them now. Very awesome anytime but late season when things freeze up good they still work. Hi fellas, Looking for a little help on flocking some duck and goose decoys. I know how to do it , but was wondering if anybody had any leads on where to purchase the flocking material? I also wanted to play around with flocking the goose bodies and duck bodies, so im looking for more than just black and white flocking. I have flocked before but any tips would be helpful for me and anyone else looking to do it yourself flocking. Thanks in advance.

Rolmops, I have used the flasher spoon set up quite a bit last couple years, because I didnt know it was mainly for giving a fly action ,until I got on LOU and learned more. But have had good sucess with it early season which is when most of my fishing on the lake is done . I will continue to use it because it works, but I always used about a 5 foot leader from flasher to spoon. My experience is limited so using a shorter or longer leader may be something to try. Couple years back the fish were high in the water column, no marks , just trolling around trying to figure things out, using two flasher /spoon combos on two slide divers letting out 75' and the other 100' on a 3 0r 4 setting , caught kings and lakers up high and close to the boat . Beginners luck but it worked , and from that point on I used it well with different line out for different depths. -

Thanks Les, understood. I have bosch 18 volts i use for work so that parts easy for me. And in case people are not aware , companies are increasing the amps on these lithium ion batteries which make yuge difference. Of course they are more money , but something to think about when the batteries finally give out that came with the drill and its time to upgrade. Yes good point chowdaire, i did read about that somewhere and the orange model is the drill model with the lower attack blade i believe. I was leaning towards the blue colored hand model and would try it with a drill to see how it works but might be two aggressive for the drill. Saw a you tube vid if i remember correctly the guy drilled two holes in 55 seconds in 18" of ice, wow! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G730A using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Im a member of st lawrence tiver walleye assc. They are a great bunch of guys and yes they also work hard at raising and releasing fry into the river. As stated earlier it was around 35,000 fry . Not sure but every year is not the same success . Being self regulated sportsman is a big help, think about the cold water of last spring when the walleye spawned late , but the season was open. You know guys kept fish because they could, it will be interesting to see that year class of fish and how the numbers of fish shake out. Just my two cents.
