    Just used the plugs and wired them 12 volts IMO !

    You can also change the prop with less top end with a faster low end ! [ did this with my OMC 70 hp.with better control of trolling speed ]

    Not sure why you got the problem but as posted dump the remaining gas ! I only use high octaine [ 91 ] NO ethanol ! As posted you can also add " dry gas " if you feel you must but I do not !

    Good point HB2 but what works for one fisherman may not work for another one ! Found that out with my Lymans , only one worked [ Chartruese/black ladder back was hit so many times paint was coming off could not find another in retail the manufacture would only sell a large order ] I sold all the rest for much more than I paid for them !

    They both will work ! I start with a slider then change to a stacker if no hits on the slider ; as posted 6 foot length is critical !

    All you need is an Ontario non resident fishing license ! Our Ontario fish quotas may be different than New York State ? esp. Atlantic salmon and rainbow trout !

    The drag setting works in combination with the stiffness of the rod ; set too frim risking a break off !

    Get at least ONE downrigger [ manuals work just fine ] ; then use Dipsy divers ! [ deep six and pink ladies are a waste of your time on the water ]

    " deep divers " after 35 years have never worked for us but as you post maybe we have not tuned them right ? Run at least one long line but watch for other boats could tangle [ have had it more than once ] ! the problem with long lines is the slack which may not give you a good hookup ? Color rules in the spring ! We always start with chartreuse then mix and match !
