Coming home from work Wednesday saw clouds of snows circling my buddies farm. He and I rushed to change and get back to the field. We hid down in the edge of the field and watched as the birds circled and formed a tornado. They began dumping into the corn field only 100 yards from us. We watched as they picked up whole corn cobs and threw them. They played an amazing game of leap from until they were only a few yards from us. The sounds of these birds so close was the most amazing thing ever. Finally, as they began to pick up and make their trip back to the lake, we struck. We kill a ton of birds out of fields and in my personal experience the mojos are the money maker early in the morning but once the flight picks up and geese start flying we pull them every morning because they tend to make birds very iffy on working the spread.
