  1. Can you get the big boats out of Sodus yet?
  2. I know it's late in the season but we finally got brave enough to try Ontario instead of the finger lakes. First trip out we hooked up in first 15 mins and lost it shortly after. Haven't had a bite since. Fished out of sodus point between 50 and 120 fow marking fish but not takers. Any tips would be great to put some fish out of Ontario in the boat. 3. You have been saying samething for years when 99% of the old timers say the lake is dead. Just because you catch a few fish doesn't mean the lake isn't dead. The perch fishing is dead. Lake trout are babies. The lake needs to be better managed and the longer you deny it the more foolish you look. Seneca may have a few fish left in it but not compared to any of the other lakes except kueka which is also mismanaged by the same moron. Sent from my moto e6 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Seneca is a dead lake. Sent from my moto e6 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Can't figure out the salmon on either lake. Been getting a lot of rainbows but can't find salmon. Maybe it's a off year Sent from my moto e6 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  7. How's the new launch? Was told you have to pay to get in the park then pay to launch? I haven't been down there since they remodeled it. Fractured my neck 2.5 years ago and just getting back to fishing. I'm trying to find beat launch areas for different weather patterns. Tried Lodi but that was really shallow and narrow. Seems it's gotten worse. Fish we caught in the north end were babies. Rather stay away from the north end after two weekends of sub legal Lakers. 8. Size has been lacking in the ones we been getting. Fished from 5 am to 9:30 am. North end. Most fish caught were over 60' to 100'. Guys I fished with were from the north end. I don't believe I have the right jigs/baits for casting silvers. I've caught plenty on Cayuga. Just want to try something new. Sent from my moto e6 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Yeah wouldn't try it in 200' of water on a windy day. We have fished Cayuga on windy days in 160 to 200 fow but Cayuga has fish all through the water column. We are going to try the north end next most likely. Guess it all depends on weather and wind direction where we fish. It's been nice all week. 10. I've already caught a ton of Lakers and perch this year on Cayuga. I wanted to try something else. Seneca has fish in it just gotta figure them out. Sent from my moto e6 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Is it worth targeting fish in 250 fow or deeper. Bait was over 220 and stacked as high as 150' off bottom. One guy with me snagged a laker in 250fow but it was no bigger then a sawbellie. Maybe a little bigger. Is it worth getting 2oz weights or jigging spoons for the depth? Any depth under 150', everything that was marked was hugging bottom or there was nothing. Fished out of Lodi north then over to the west side. Sent from my moto e6 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. He just suggested going to otter lake. I never made it out this weekend. To many people wanted firewood. I would just call the Inn and or the marinas ahead of time to see if they are plowed. That's my plan anyways mid week since I finished my jobs and sold out wood till camping season or taxes come in and work starts taking over all my time again. 14. I would appreciate that. Ty Sent from my moto e6 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Maybe you should read... Your basically the reason I won't go fish ostic... People pay for their license and if they decide to keep it... To each their own... They are stocked fish and as someone said before it only takes about 10 years for the fish to get that big. This is a Cross Lake thread... Quit hi jacking my thread. 16. Cayuga one my favorite places to fish but the weeds are dead out deep and the fish seem to be non existent in usual areas. Perch population seems to stay South for sure. I would love to figure out the crappie on cayuga. The two I caught 3 years ago where nice and was the first time I had crappie. Can't seem to find a lake to catch them in decent numbers or they just not big enough to meet the legal size. I heard they increased the size requirement too. I don't want to fish musky because everyone complains when you keep them... Plus I hate getting the y bone out. I'm not very good at it. I'll admit I eat the tail area and cook the rib cage for the cats. Nothing goes to waste is all I can say Sent from my moto e6 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Shove ice is about half mile to the double bouys might. Froze way down to canoga but no one has gone that far and idk if I would want to walk the shove ice. I know there is perch probably further north based on reports and where I walked already. Just tired of miles of walking and not getting on them. Sodus all I caught was tiny perch. Just looking to try somewhere new where less likely to get surrounded by 4 wheelers after walking miles just because they see one decent pickerel on the ice... 18. I'm out of Interlaken. I heard the lake has a lot of pressure right now. I'm not to interested in catching musky. I had plenty of pickerel out on cayuga. All I really wanted to know is if the ice is safe and where to get on. I can figure out the fishing from there. Never got a chance to call the Inn today. Been on the phone all morning trying to get through to the irs and delivering firewood. Might plan on Wednesday but all depends on how much snow we get Sent from my moto e6 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. Oneida is almost 2 hr drive and I barely ever catch anything since I'm on foot. Just wanted to try somewhere new that was closer then oneida. Sent from my moto e6 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. I'll try to give them a call. I mean I don't mind a drag to the ice. Have to do it at oneida when we go there. Just tired of small fish at sodus and pickerel at cayuga. I walked 4 miles in two days and couldn't find any perch or gills on cayuga. Started holes in 3fow all the way out to 12fow. Worst part is the 3fow to 8fow had the most weeds. 21. Almost 100 views and no info. Must be someone's honey hole.... Sent from my moto e6 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. Early spring. Anywhere from Dean's cove south or look for all the boats clustered together in the north end. Some days you can limit out in an hour other days you gotta search for them. Summer time look deeper Sent from my moto e6 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Anyone fish it? How's the ice and what's the best place to get on from? Thanks Sent from my moto e6 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. I imagine they still roam around right time of day. I haven't fished in like 6 months and it's close to home. Been working all summer waiting for ice but doesn't look like until after Christmas again Sent from my moto e5 play using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. Can we fish the Marina? Haven't been down since everything is changed. Rather not get yelled at when trying to relax. Sent from my moto e5 play using Lake Ontario United mobile app
