I don't think they could get the Fed funding, that's why they were looking for a private buyer? I might be wrong. Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app

There is another launch mid lake... Lodi point... It sucks getting out of there but... Its another launch mid lake... I hate launching there... South wind pushes you in faster then you want. A lot of the docks are rusting out at Sampson... I don't think they could patch the ones that are real bad... Some of the side walk for the sea wall is starting to tilt meaning the base is eroding away... Stuff like that cost big big $$$. Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Bring a shovel to deans cove. There was debris on the ramps. Should be deep enough. Dark would know. Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Seems like they pop and all the fluid comes out. Then it seems like just the outer skin is on the hook. I'm probably doing something wrong. Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app

How do you figure out how much water it needs? I assume I could just meseaure how far the prop sat in the water on the bass boat and that would be good? Or good enough? Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I did. Their wasn't much explaining the purpose or how far back or the reason for the distance. Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Didn't really explain why the set back bracket is used, our how to figure out how far back to set the motor. Sounds like it connects to knee braces to distribute pressure. The tri hull is bigger then the bass boat the motor came off of. Couldn't I just fill the holes glass over top and then put the motor on? Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Tried to find info on setback packets, what their purpose is for and how far back to have to set the motor tone effective. I figure they were meant to stop splash back onto the outboard? Couldn't find any specific info on its purpose. I have a tri hull that we pulled a motor out of and I'm interesting in filling the hole and putting this outboard I got kicking around on it. Thanks for any info Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Bacteria cause heat. I would say if the entire fish freezes, including intestines, stomach, sure no problem. But if not frozen solid, I would still say that bacteria has a chance to spread. Just my opinion. "Lobster tank" still working. Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app

If you ever go through the ice..............
FishingTheFL replied to SkeinMachine's topic in Ice fishing
Best video ever...! Even if its been posted before, reposting this every ice season for newbies like my self. Panicking after falling threw is your worst enemy and after watching this last year I feel a little safer about going on the ice this year... If I ever get to out on some ice. Agreed with chinook35. As for freezing and coming back to life... That's hard to believe. Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Bring a cooler with water. Keep them alive and stick them in the cooler with a coffee can full of water. It helps the perch stress level go down by giving them cover. The coffee can has to be full of water so it sinks below the surface some but also floats above the perch. Guy told me about the cooler idea. I left a perch on the back my truck to freeze thinking no big deal just fillet when I get home. It ended up being really really slimy. I personally like them as fresh as I can get it. Also he dethawing process allows bacteria to grow since its coming above freezing. When I did my ServSafe they taught proper handling techniques to dethaw fish and other meats to prevent bacterial growth by running cold water over it. I suppose if you cook it properly it kills most that bacteria but ever since I was told about the cooler idea... Keeping them alive makes more sense.
