I haven't fished that body of water, but a technique that works on other bodies of water is vertical jigging. Search youtube and google for Detroit River walleye jigging for some good tips - the technique is the same - the line needs to be as vertical as possible. Heavy jig heads, 1/2 to 1 ounce with a 4"-6" rubber worm and a stinger hook are used. Sometimes tipping the main jig hook with a minnow (use a tiny piece of rubber worm as a keeper) or a piece of worm helps. Good luck
Unless the batteries are exact matches internally, they will eventually draw each other down. Putting them in parallel provides a path for current to flow between them, and it will, slowly draining both.
I was boating on the St. Lawrence river this past weekend (30 May 2020) and went by the Wellesley Island station of the US Customs and Border Protection. There were a few agents at the dock, and i went over and asked them if i could transit downriver along Grenadier Island, on the Canadian channel side. Their words were " I would highly advise against it, if they catch you it will be a $750 fine.". They also anticipated that mid to late June is when the closure will be lifted, but weren't sure. I thanked them and went downriver on the US side. That being said, I have known people that have done more than a casual crossing across the border but have not gotten hassled - but not getting stopped doesn't mean that they won't stop you if they are out.
Went out 02 June from 6:30pm-10:15 pm, just missing the rain. Fished between Buoy 130, Dunham Island, and Wantry Island. Depth was between 12-25 FOW.
got 4 shorts, one keeper and lost a few nicer ones near the boat, also a couple small perch.
Bucktails (black) and Bladebaits (perch) seemed to do the trick.
Marked lots, and the ones that were boated were near ledges/transitions.
Saw a few boats trolling what looked like bottom bouncers in the area, along with a few others casting. Did not see many other fish being caught.
Good Luck
how is the shore ice and depth at this launch? I have a 16.5 footer deep V and often this time of year I am fighting shore ice, or low water making launching a problem. Thanks!
Lakeside41- I went out today(19 May). It was a bit rainy and windy. I tried a bunch of places from 6 to 20 feet of water. I fished about 4 hours. The few that I caught were spawned out. About 2 weeks ago the bite was hot. My guess is that it is way past prime. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
My dog and I launched out of Union Springs Sunday (08 April 2018). My cabin fever over-rode the urge to stay out of the crappy weather.
The water at the launch is still a tad low, but I had no issues launching my 1650 Crestliner.
By the time I found the perch I ran out of the time that I had. The snow and wind were pretty bad, there was only one other boat at the launch.
Pickerel are everywhere....
Maybe? If it’s a tiller type outboard that floats quickly off the trailer you may be able to. There seemed to be a lot of muck right off the ramp so if you don’t have to back way out it may be doable.

I looked at the Mandana launch. It is a town of Skaneateles operated launch but no 'public' parking. The parking by the firehouse has a bunch of signs saying parking for town of Skan residents only (sticker must be visible) with threat of towing. I don't live in that town so no joy there....
I haven't been able contact the marina yet to see if there is parking for non-residents somewhere.
