Bet the eagle ate well during that run. we have a lot of them around here and stocked trout is what is for dinner right now.....jk -
Just took the coast guard course last week here in Williamsport I had a certificate form 1990 also. Test is easier than than the course. they said you can load the copy of the certificate to your smart phone and you are good to go. As long as you are smart enough to brig it back up = I am borderline in that respect, not good on the phone......jk

Well how about Keyuka lake? Long time ago was a smelt and big laker lake with other trout species being caaught frequently. 10 to 15 years ago was a lots of 5 - 8 pounders and alwives only, no smelt. Now the little lakers ( rarely over 23 inches) are eating perch. what happened there. Ten years ago there were two ice fishing season in a row where you could walk out to the bluffs then the next year the big flood, what effect did they have? We fish it because we don't like the bigger water but in 20 years what a change.......jk

Fished there yesterday and the water clarity was poor, could only see the lure four feet down. Those fish don't move in those conditions and we caught none. But the bas were biting. I think they might get vertigo or are so far sighted that they can't orientate themselves and freeze in one spot. So stopped and had an ice cream on the way home........jk

Still fun to fish there, we only have a small boat and the owner does not like bigger water. It is fishing and catching and fun. Oh we only jig.......jk

Go with someone that is knowledgeable or even a charter and ask them. Post on here to go along with some and get ideas from them. there are a lot of highly skilled people that would help you on this web site. Find someone local to you so you can visit them once in a while for ideas. The classified section here has a lot of equipment for sale to cut your cost too.......kj

Bring a fishing rod with 20 pound test, I used to live there for a year and the stripers will follow and they fight good too. Right from the rocks you can get 20pound fish easily. Not fussy about lures or bait and they are delicious fish, you will see them swirl, cast to the fish. Of course that was 40 or more years ago. But if you have bait like that something is there to eat it.......jk
