  1. I have a transom saver on my 21’CC. I have an aluminum trailer that flexes so I also tie the front of the boat down to the loop on the front of the trailer. Loop was factory installed. I broke the screws on the transom saver mount a couple of times towing from Ottawa to Port Charlotte ,Florida. Once I put the strap on , I never broke any more screws. 200 2 stroke yammie on the back. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Be careful. Flotation can get expensive in the long run.[emoji41] Nice sea trout though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Looking for an 8 pin control box and 15' wiring harness to fit a 2006 merc pro kicker 9.9 if anyone has one collecting dust or knows of one. Electric start and trim included. Tks hopefully. Mitch.
  4. 201 Mako CC 200 hp Yamaha SS2 Lowrance Autopilot run by a Lowrance HDS 7 Gen 3. Love the boat. Love the unit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. All great advice , but I wouldn't be hiding out under a tree. Especially if it is a large tree. Tallest point around. Flat on the ground away from anything tall.
  6. Sorry. Thought you were selling. Just woke up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I will take it if you can ship it to Ogdensburg for a good price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. Works great. I am very impressed. 3 weeks ago we put in at Kingston and ran out to Main Duck Island. I let the autopilot drive back in at about 28 mph and it did great. I used the arrows to alter course every once in a while but very nice. We trolled for 4 or 5 hours and it worked perfectly. I think I said in a previous post I used an HDS 7 Gen 3 to control it. Love that unit as well.
  10. We live in Ottawa and there is a place called my us address in Ogdensburg. $6 Canadian per package. Check for these guys in Buffalo or Niagra Falls NY. Or use a UPS store. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Signaling devices are exempt from the weapons act unless being used as a weapon. If they were classed as weapons, when you crossed the border , they would be confiscated or you would be turned back. I never even thought about declaring my flare gun when going to Henderson Harbor or Port Charlotte Florida.
  12. I'm from Canada. Carry a flare gun on my boat. Can't see anyone making a fuss over having safety equipment on board. Point it at someone and that will likely change quickly though.
  13. I will take the fish hawk td if shipping to Ogdensburg is reasonable. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  15. I'm not really surprised by the complaints here about be stopped. I realize that it is a pain to have to pull your lines in but whenever I have been checked,3 or 4 times ,the Officers have always just idled up and asked to see the stuff we are supposed to have. 4 out of the last 5 years we have been out in Charlotte Harbour and the Gulf of Mexico in our 21' CC. Things can change very fast as Lake O does. I don't mind getting checked as I have everything required. That being said, 14 out of the last 15 years ,I have been stationed in a firehall with an 18' RHIB. It really is a perk to be able to get out on the water and talk to people about safety. Unfortunately every once in a while we end up out looking for someone who made possibly, a very small mistake. This changes one of the greatest jobs in the world to a real ****ty day, real fast. I have a lot of patience for the Police and Coast Guard as they spend a lot more time looking for people than we do. At the end of the day , they are just trying to make everyone a little safer. It only takes a split second to change a great day into something completely different. Common sense usually goes a long way but some people just don't seem to get it. Mitch.

Almost 4,000 cms. I think I see the problem. To bad the folks that matter don’t see it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That’s almost 2500 cubic meters per second . I believe that’s the measurement they use. Easy to see why there is a problem! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

With all do respect , it doesn't matter how much water is coming into the lake. If the dam at Cornwall isn't letting that much out plus some , flooding won't change. I don't know how much water Cornwall is flushing through now but a couple of weeks ago it was slowed down so as to not flood Montreal. It should be running at max capacity as to not create problems or to create minor problems there. It is a hard decision as to wear to draw the line as to who gets flooded., Hopefully the weather changes and we get a long hot spell and things begin to dry up. Here in Ottawa , the city is organizing trying to pick up 1.5 million sand bags that were filled along a 50 mile stretch of the Ottawa river. Good luck to those along the shores of Lake Ontario. Mitch.

We were having a bad time with flooding up around Ottawa on the Ottawa river for the second time in 3 years. Water was up 12" more than 2 years ago. Read an article that was talking about Lake Ontario about the same time. The dam at Cornwall had its flow cut back by 1/3 because the rockstars in Montreal built a bunch of houses on an old dried up lake bed. Water washes a burm out and flooded the place. Water was cut back at the dam so as not to cause any more flooding. Now everyone gets to share the wealth of water. Hope it starts dropping shortly. We are getting back to normal but they are still advising not to move sandbags. Saw a picture of Henchens in Henderson Harbour the other day. Water creeping in to the shop. Feel sorry for everyone affected. Have to tell the wife we need to go fishing and support these folks. Thats my 5 cents worth for now. Good fishing to those that get out. Mitch
