So spoons, flasher/fly, flasher/meat, j-plugs are all feasible and widely used on copper setups for salmon/trout? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Figured it out after looking much closer at pics from recent catches. I guess this was a coho. I didn't even realize! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Picked up a couple A-Tom-Mic meat rigs and some herring strips to use for the first time. The meat holder has a small hole that goes through both sides. I'd imagine that is used to "pin" the meat in place inside the holder and then the treble hook goes through the meat in the back of the strip near the "tail". My question is what is used to pin the meat in the holder? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Was setup by 5:30. Went straight to 125'. Went 14 for 22. 2 steelhead, 1 laker, 11 kings. Worked same area all morning. Caught fish on every pass. Every rod took hits. Even had two fish on the same rigger rod with spoon and cheater spoon. Rods covered 20-80 down over 125. Marked small bait pods on every pass in the same area holding fish. Great morning. Slowed a bit after about 9am. Called it quits at 10:30. Spoons and flasher/flies. No particular color. Greens, oranges, whites, blues all took fish. Biggest fish on flasher/flies. A lot of skippy kings.

Ramp is fine. Channel is 4-6' the whole way out but not marked well. They were out dredging so I had to go around them but it was fine. I'm told all obstacles are marked ( but not very well). Just take it slow and keep your eyes open. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Fished Braddocks yesterday morning. Looked in 120-200. Best screens 125-145. 3 for 3 on kings. 2 small ones on 80' rigger free slider SS spoon. 1 teenage 60' down over 125' on dipsy/flasher/fly out 193'. All fish mid morning. I think that's because it took me that long to figure out where they were. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
What does it do when you try? Go to your phone settings, and find the permissions for the LOU app and make sure the app is allowed to access your photos. Looks like this on an iPhone... Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
One of the Browns was pictured twice. Wasn't sure if that was a coho or Atlantic. Didn't get a shot of the other salmon. Probably a coho as well then. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Fished the Oak again this morning 8:30-11:30. West of port. 8-12 fow. Went 5/5. 3 browns, 2 atlantics. All on sticks. Jointed fire tiger rapala. Jointed black/silver rapala, glow Green Bay rat. No releases on riggers with spoons. Pretty successful the last 3 times out there over the past 2 weeks. Same program.

What is the state of Braddocks Bay? The launch docks are in but is the channel navigable and is it marked? I know they have been doing a lot of work there. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
First year trolling. How and where (like depths/temp/ect) to catch Brown Trout on Lake Ontario through October?

If anyone uses the Sandy Creek launch over the next couple days, can you check the north launch area in the water for my trailer license plate? Not sure if that's where it is, but it's gone. And, oh yeah, I got skunked.
