The thing that was throw me off is my RPMs aren't going that high and it seems to be running a little richI'll eat crow on that one. Some, but not many with the Mercarb two barrel did have a PVC valve system & that's what is on the end of that hose. No need to plug it , replace the valve if you think there is an issue.

Thank youWhat carburetor is on it? It is possible if someone put an automotive Q-Jet on it and utilized the PVC valve & hose, but it is not anything factory. Picture would say a thousand words.

Yes you're right I should have 1 hose from each valve cover going to the spark arrestor which one does and the other one goes to my vacuum line on the back of my carburetor

On the back of my carburetor I have a line that goes to my valve cover. My question is can I plug that line seeing how I don't have anything that requires vacuum? Thanks

Good advice but I think you will be very happy with spending the extra money on the coldwaters vs. the connectors. I’ve seen a number of issues with the convectors and can attest to the overall build quality of the coldwaters over the convectors.

For spoons I add a couple split shot just to get the spoon sink a bit. Sticks on the other hand have their own dive curve.
How far in front of the spoon
thanks

9.9 are the standard nowadays, its big enough to push 30+ feet, but you need to get the ones they purposely make for kickers. they have lower gear ratio and are propped different, the work great but don't go over 4 or 5 mph no matter what, but can all ways push trolling speeds. Yamaha is same as merc but the stickers on the merc are more.
I agree my 9.9 will get my 25' to 5.5 mph and my buddy has a 17' alum boat with the same motor and gets the same mph even though my boat weights 3x more. The extra weight of a 15 is not worth what you will gain the other factor is "hull speed" the faster you go the boat will try to get on plane (which will never happen) and will create more drag in effect negating any gains from the extra hp.

Are you cables long enough sometimes if the cables are to short when you turn the wheel it will create issues.

3 I have a I/O with a kicker. On the kicker side I run 1 and a diver. The kicker seams to suck in lures if your not careful when setting up

I find that hard to believe because if you speak to him or watch his videos all his chapter boats are on the same program right down to how far to run a fly behind a flasher so everything is his way
