  1. These are the color of Lake Superior Lakers, leans are the orange, fats are less orange. Think one small brown in there also. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Some have lots of fat between skin and meat, take it off. Lake trout makes some of the best Poor man's lobster. So Easy and soooooo good. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. All my laker are coming from Lake Superior, but You still have to get the ALL the fat off. I also rinse my fillets in bowl or sink until the water no longer clouds up. Put in fridge overnight and rinse again eat or freeze. Our redfin's are almost as orange as salmon. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Exactly what King said. I had Trolling board first year, Knew right away I did the wrong thing. Much nicer with back open and mine is set up very similar to above. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Just got these, look up Big Al's Lure Holders, Rick is on here, stand up guy with a great product. A styrofoam cooler would last about five seconds on my boat, about as long as they last when you use them for drinks. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. If they are factory installed should be fine. Berts will fit all other track systems and vice versa. Usually all the risers are made to fit the various Downriggers. Or can use Cannon risers, they will slide into tracks also. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Track systems are the way to go, as long as the tracks are installed with backing plates under gunnel you will be fine. You will like having the back of the boat open, in stead of Trolling bar, at least I did. . get some risers that slide into tracks for your riggers. Takes literally a couple minutes to take all the Trolling stuff off if you fish other ways. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. I have caught them in 190+ ft. Jigging and you should see size of the air bubbles they start letting up. Usually if they aren't bleeding they will release well where other fish would have their stomachs coming out of their mouths. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Never heard of venting a laker. They are one of the only fish that can let air out of their air bladder Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Seen them in walleyes and bass, absolutely nothing to worry about. You are not eating the digestive track. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. If Fish lips backs out, I will take them off your hands. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Like I said it crazy, you can pile it up, throw the pile around, and still reel it in without tangles, also comes off the reel way smoother than any copper ever will. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Got a 300, and a 200 ready to try, stuff is crazy, you can't make it tangle up. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. A glob of worms is your problem, a single crawler hooked right is as natural as any minnowSent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Just ordered couple of the big ones, can't wait to get them. Free up some room . Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. Always, hence the name, lol. And I always bring bananas, no joke helps with arm cramps from catching fish. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Here we go. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. I just saw some in black, somewhere. They looked real nice. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. Just saw a show In Depth Outdoors where they were doing just that on Lake MI. Find the warm, dirtier water . Were using shadow raps, Rippin raps, reg #9 orange gold was best bait. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Plastic and Diver rods don't mix. Sure people do it, and the above gimbal mounts are definitely not for diver rods, look at the angle. Rods should be way more parallel to H20. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
