So it was nice and I have not been fly fishing the tribs this year because it has been so good off my dock so I donned the waders and went to Sandy. North of Church Rd to be exact a long way north of the bridge Water was clear and I look down and see this phone in the water . Looks like it hasn't been in the water long . It's currently on charge and it booted up . No fish in the creek on the fly rod. Stopped at the cottage and went 3 for 4 on domestic rainbows and browns on jigs under a float .

Well, the people that give us this great fishery seem to think they can make it work . 2 days ago I heard of guy that said he caught a good amount of Atlantic's . I have heard of trib guys in my area getting some , so they are there . Let them try . If it's a flop ,then maybe they learn something about the fishery to make it better all around There a guys that would like to see them in the tribs ( me included ) so let the feds try . It's not hurting or taking away anything from anyone or a least not much . Maybe it's a waste of effort and resources but we do that all the time. When I first started doing this back in the late 70s , there were way more steelhead and the average size was much bigger . The lake was packed full of Alwives. It didn't seem that thimine deficiency was a problem back then ?

If the Feds are footing the bill for this , I don't see what the problem is . As much as everyone hates the lake trout , they sure save the day more times than a lot of us would like to admit . That is a successful fed program . I'll take a let's wait and see attitude on this . A diverse LO fishery is a great thing .All the more reason for people to come here . And no one style angler , lake or trib owns it . Both contribute financially to the state tax revenue .

My favorite person to listen to " Big Picture " wise is Victor Davis Hanson . His take on what is going on with the dynamics of the country and why who does what , are spot on . All this cancel culture , defund police ,woke , CRT , ignore the boarder , hate America, etc ,has to stop . It has to for the sake of Our great country . But I don't think it will.

America hater George Soros has been funding the Dems forever Now the Dems have the Crypto version of Bernie Madoff funneling millions of dollars of scammed investors money to the Dems I try to watch some of the liberal media channels to get their take but thay have turned into into the Jan 6 or White people suck channel . I find it funny when you see and hear with your own eyes and ears the crap show of stuff that is going on and the liberal media trys to spin it to say what you see or hear is not happening . And how dare you question it . Hit a three team parly today off my dock . A brown , domestic rainbow , and nice male coho . All on jigs. Landed 9 fish the last few days in a few hrs total . And lost a few more . The water is clear and I wanted to see how my jig was working so I had it in front of me pulling it along and I watched the coho come up from nowhere and nail it. Pretty cool

Runaway inflation ,crime ,defund the police , Stampede at the boarder , gas prices , Afghanistan debacle , spying on the Trump campaign ,etc , all Fox news lies . It's not what CNN, MSNBC , NPR, or Networks report on , it's what they don't report on . But hey , there is always Jan 6 they can harp on whenever they need smoke and mirrors . Or Russia Russia Russia , which was all proved to be a load of crap .

We should have gotten out of Afghanistan. But properly . Not the crap show that happened . Zalinsky is trying to goad is into that mess . It ain't like the Ukraine is a democracy . A lot of people have full pockets because of American taxpayers I suspect . NATO needs to take a bigger part in the security of Europe .Financially and Militarily . Somebody , I don't remember who , made them finally pony up and pay their share . Trump was a business man before he was a President . He has hotels all over the world . He built his empire as a good smart entrepreneur . Capitalism . He gets endlessly audited by the IRS and if there was something wrong it would be front page 24 /7 . I find it funny these politicians go into Congress broke and walk out millionaires.They can engage in insider trading , what they put Martha Stewart in jail for . Kathy was fast to give money for the new Bills stadium. But isn't her husband in charge of the concession business there? Not everyone can use their politic standing and sell out and be bought off like the big guy . Putin and Kim are pulling this crap on a total Dem watch . They smell weakness . Is it the Republicans time to endlessly investigate and impeach now ? Trump funded and rebuilt and upgraded the military . And thank God he did. But I'm sure Rachel probably spun that . Dems and the mentally weak are being played like fiddles by corrupt leaders . And we are losing our beautiful country because of it .

I saw Zalinsky say with his own mouth the missile was Russian . And demand we attack Russia . Why do you think these Presidents live to get to nominate Supreme Court Judges on their watch ? So they can get a left or right leaning judge . All I know is what I see and what I see looks pretty fishy . And the best or worst part about all this over there is Trump would have put up with none of it . This is what happens when you have a weak President . And man , can you imagine if something happens to Joe and he gets sick or one day wakes up and thinks he is Pee Wee Herman ? Then Kamala is the leader of the free world . I would love to see her at the helm . The entertainment value there would be priceless . She reminds me of a cross between a 15 year old cheerleader and a female version of Foster Brooks . God help us .

A lot of the interpretation is base on the political leanings of the judges . On another note we just gave 65 billion to Ukraine . That money is gone . Where did it go ? Now Biden wants to send them a ton more . Trump got impeached over Ukraine . A missile hits Poland . Zalinsky wants NATO to invoke 5 th amendment and drag us into world war 3 . Man there is a whole lot going on there. Sounds a little fishy . Zalinsky says it was a Russian missile but upon inspection it was what Ukraine uses . Was it done to drag us into this quagmire ? And Obama did the same exact thing with the children at the boarder . But the media fails to inform you of that . Conveniently . If you don't want to be separated from you kid , then come into this country leagaly .

We have enough laws already on the books . More than sufficient to protect the American citizens . Problem is , they are not enforced . The border is a good example of that. And there is no longer equal protection under the law . A subject for a different day . Some bills in Congress cannot be agreed upon . Take DACA or imagration for example . Neither side wants to pass even what would be a bipartisan compromise . Reason being it would make the President in power look good . And we can't have that , now can we . And the problem with a lot of these bills is this . They craft a bill , say its called the " Protect the children act" . Then they attach all kinds of things that have nothing to do with protecting children . Or PORK as it's called to get money to their project to fill the right people's pockets . The President vetos it and then the other side says he doesn't like children . And Congress sends this stuff up to him full well knowing he will Veto it so they can use it against him . Both sides do it . I talked with an 3 tour Iraq vet on a plane ride back from Colorado . He told me that as soon as Trump took office it all changed for the better . They got new equipment and were given the green light to wipe out the enemy .

Freedom of speech is just that. Who decides what is and isn't appropriate ? Elon just bought Twitter for that very reason . Conservative voices are being algorithmed out . That is not democracy . But apparently , from what I read above , some are fine with that Elon was a hero , until he bought Twitter . Now Biden says we have to look into his financial dealings. Sick the IRS on him . We are more like China every day . Nice to see in the bluest state in the union , what , 11 seats were flipped red ? And the house is red , so gridlock . And bye bye Nancy . Pretty good start . And like I told you before , Presidents don't make laws , that's Congress job . And it's never over .

This to me it has nothing to do with Trump . It's bigger than him . There are those that are trying to take away the constitutional rights of the American citizens. And tear up the constitution and start over . Like Nancy shamefully did at the state of the union. Weaponizing the DOJ and IRS against political opponents . Obama did this . Impeaching Trump for something Biden actually did . Or a sitting senator saying out loud " we are going to impeach the Mother F er" after he just took office . There is no decorum any more . Biden says we have to work together but they don't want to work with Repubs . Trump had a DACA bill already to sign and Dems would not do it. Why ? I'll tell you why , same old crap . Media holding back stories that could have cost Biden the election . Some media admitted to this . Concerned Parents at school board meeting being branded terrorists ? And the list goes on and on . Im liking Tulsi Gabbard these days . She has a lot of good things to say .

As we have just honored our great Veterans on their day I wonder this . The Constitution is the basis of this great country and many have fought and died for it . Freedom of speech is the keystone . It's pretty obvious that is getting slowly eroded . Laws past about hate speech , also cancelation , endoctorination ,etc. So how can anyone who risked their lives for the constitution, support anyone who would be part of that ?

Every time I drive to my cottage on Sandy from Holley , including this morning , I drive across 6 bridges that cross the creek , on propose . This morning there were probably 50 cars total . Most from out of state . A lot of money there . I don't get why we can't be happy for another guys passion with this diverse fishery .Of all the fishing of the LO trout /salmon , my favorite, and I do it all, is spring steelhead fly fishing . With the the Atlantic's, we're only talking about a few fish in the grand scheme of this fishery . Sure would be nice to have a nice new shiny state of the art hatchery .

My wife and son are Libertarians . I really like a lot of their viewpoints on things . But they can never win a major political position. They don't play the game . On abortion , I find some people's stance just a little ironic . When our GI servicemen got off the planes at the airports they were met with protesters calling them " Baby Killers" .

In a nutshell , the above is why we have the surge in crime . The justification of bad behavior by delusional lefty's who think ," well , if we just give this guy another chance ,he will do the right thing " . How's that working out for us ? Not great . It all looks good on paper but in reality does not work . Talk to law enforcement about this and get their take . They know who the criminals are and are reluctant to arrest them because they will be back out in the street hours latter laughing in their face . It's pretty simple , if you don't want to go to jail , don't commit crimes that put you in a position for bad things to happen to you . We have to get back to that . If a person commits a violent crime while out on bail ( or no bail as it seems ) , no bail . Sit in jail and wait till trial . One less emboldened habitual offender on the streets law abiding citizens have to worry about .

Zeldon had a guy come on stage and try to stab him and got out without bail with an appearance ticket . That's crazy . One guy got arrested and released 20 times and wound up killing someone. I love these delusional people who try to tell me there is no crime and we see it with our own eyes . All crime went up like what 50% last year ? Maybe it went down 2 % from that. Is that improvement ? Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining . If you want to be gullible enough to believe it go for it . Not me . I don't think any of us want to see someone go to jail for something stupid or lapse of judgement. But a lot of the degenerates get out and do the same thing the next day . Over and over . It becomes a minor inconvenience . But hey , they have to make a living too !

80% of NY city voters voted for Hockel . With all the crime down there and the no bail thing ,they must like and want the crime , or they are just plain stupid . Next time some scumbag sucker punches or pushes one of them in front of a subway train , etc , I have zero sympathy for them and don't want to hear it. Problem with the population centers controlling the vote is we have poorly run city based politicians telling farmers what to do with their land .

Actually it's not the job of the President or the executive branch to pass laws. That's the job of Congress or the legislative branch . Checks and balances . I'm surprised you did not know that . You remember the constitution , that piece of paper that's in the way of Dems being our supreme leaders forever .

I don't even know how to respond to that. Look at the state of the country , foreign and domestic all around then and now . To say what we have now is better than what we had then is lunacy . The hatred by some of this man has clouded the rational judgement of some highly educated people who should really know better . And it blatantly shows . I love those yard signs that say hatred has no home here . Unless of course it's Trump or one of his supporters . My wife and I seriously just talked about keeping the cottage selling the house and moving to North Carolina . Other than the fishing , there is nothing keeping me here . And there is fishing everywhere .

We sure would make a great 51st state .
