Last evening I was south of long point. I'd say 1/2 mile. I was about 350 yds from shore. I could hear a boat coming and looked over towards the point. A really large boat forest green was heading down the lake around the point. Out about 300 yards farther than me at least 600 yds from shore. I was pointing east down riggers out. 1.8 mph. He changed course and aimed at me. I didn't think any thing of it. But next thing he is 150 yds away coming straight at me! I turned south fast and when he is 30 yds away he slows and nearly stops staring at me? His wake was huge! He's easy to spot as the boat is large enough to carry a zodiac on it! He cuts his engine and continues to stare? His prop wash was so great it actually turned my boat sideways. At this point I'm flabbergasted as to why with 3.5 miles of Lake behind me. He chose to drive between shore 350 yds away and 30 yds from me? If you see this guy watch out, that was incredibly dangerous, had my grandkids been with me there would have been a problem. If you know this guy tell him to use caution his seamen ship sucks. Next time I'm calling the sheriff and video it. I was so stunned I didn't think to take a picture till he was 300 yds south down lake . Large inboard green, cream hard top with a gray zodiac. I personally believe there is something deeper going on. Private ownership of property along the lake shore is a great resource. In the right hands. Camps homes are not the use they the IJC would like. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

OLCOTT 8/2 MORNING
Bassin Bob replied to jpiatkowski's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
I alway find it amazing with a lake the size of Ontario a boat will be on course directly at you. I totally understand most large boats have auto pilot. I also understand they have an on / off switch. My captain friend constantly turns his off to avoid cutoffs. Some just own the lake from boarder to boarder. Having attended sailing classes, both power and sail and attaining a license there is a section on rules / regs and courteous behavior. Paying customers expect to catch fish. Boat owners fish for fun; alone, with friends etc. Be nice to each other. Keep landing fish in the bad guys face. Acknowledge the good guys. Be safe have fun. Fished Oswego this am. 7 to 1130. 350 ft. 90 down was 44. At 60 down 57. Few marks, picked 3 steelhead in 60 ft. Got hot left. All spoons. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app -
Today at big O. Guy is backing in a 21 ft boat. Not going to mention color etc. 1/2 way in. He hits the brakes. I think- he thought he was in the water. Boat slides off trailer and slams on the motor. People yell stop stop. So he realizes the boats half off the trailer sitting on the motor. Throws it in reverse and grinds the motor into the bottom! Oh my GOD! Pulls boat out to dock end. Starts the motor, it burns up in about 3 minutes. Unreal. Second time I've seen this happen. You just have to see it to be leave it. I too fish alone most days. I have my routine down pat. Everything in the boat. Ropes set for off or on trailer. I can be in or out in minutes. Want to have fun. Go to Skaneateles on a weekend. Guaranteed fight, swearing, drunks falling off the floating dock. Sheriff there twice a week. It's a shame. On the flip side I can't tell you how many times on Cayuga I've been ask if I could use a hand. Seriously, almost weekly. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
