  1. Very bright moon, seems to kill fishing.
  2. No, local traffic is nuts, launch packed.
  3. That's a fact! 1 foot my a$@#
  4. Agree, fish marks. I have a fish hawk. I find temp. But fish marks. After all fish are where they want to be!
  5. Well, 7:30 am hungery fish swim where food is. Shoot in grab breakfast leave to cool water.
  6. First, you expect the guide to be well aware of fish locations. Said guide should work for his/her fee. Fishing is fishing. Some days we catch them, some days we don't. I experienced both on the ocean and lakes. Was it a good time? Good food, laughs? Did a few fish hit the deck?
  7. May I ask color of the spoons? That sounds fun , my grand kids could get a big thrill doing that.
  8. Spoon bite. My first evening actually catching kings back to back. 2 in the 8 to 12 lb range. 1 was about 24 to 26. Very big great fight. Deep 250. Ran riggers 85, 95, 110. And deeper. Marked fish in 40 degree water. 250, 180 down! Many big marks. Fun solo night. Got a couple 5 lb browns 50 down. Purple spoons, carbon 14, glow black ladder back.

  10. Are the docks in to launch ? I've heard yes, no, maybe. Thanks
  11. I've had some large Lakers turn into lead. Down they go. Stick out the fins and will not move. Last week I had a hit that if I wasn't on Cayuga I'd have thought it was a king. Screaming reel. Big laker. There has to be some very stout fish in the lakes. After all. When they hit 10 lbs, they start eating 2 to 3. Lb fish.
  12. What's the tournament may I ask? Where might I find info
  13. I go south in about 60 to 150 feet. Slide in and out. Good fishing from the point north. 80 to 200 feet. Set your riggers at 50 to 70. Flat line diver rapala, etc 25 feet. Lakers, landlock s. Fish bait balls .
  14. Stainless
  15. Thanks for all the great advice. Ordered a horizon and Shakespeare antenna. Should be here by Saturday. Thanks again!
  16. Thanks very much!
  17. There ya go, great job.
  18. Thanks, wonder where they went? Oh canada?
  19. I was at deans today, Lakers silvers, some big Lakers. 18 to 24 inch landlocks. Beautiful fish. 50 to 60 feet. Over 150. 2.4 to 2.7. 45.8 degrees at 60ft. 64 surface. North , South troll didn't matter. White tuxedo, Rl silver , purple spoons. Fun morning. It was rolling a bit. Find bait, you have fish.
  20. I was out the 13th, same. Very few marks. Top temp was 60, 75 down was 58. Lots of warm water. Dragged everything. Zero hits out to 180 feet
  21. If you plan to fish Lakers , trout. Go to long point or deans cove. If your after bass, pickerl etc. West side north side is just fine.
  22. I'm not an everyday, weekend fishermen on lake Ontario. Maybe once a week. But was wondering what's a good marine radio for out there. I have a handheld cobra now. Looking to install a fixed , any suggestion appreciated. Thanks
  23. I fished long point south last evening. Washed lures. Had a decent fish on in 50 ft. Lost it. I marked many fish in isolated areas. Found bait but again nothing. Most fish were 15 to 45 feet. I did see some 100 plus. I think that big full moon the last 3 nights may be the culprit. Feeding at night, rest by day. Fish hawk was 44.5 deg. At 58 ft. Tomorrow is another day.
