  1. What a tank! Nice job Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. That’s pretty cool. Nice job! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. I fished the afternoon yesterday. Got one brown. A good one, but not much to show for 5 hours dragging two sticks and a spoon around. All the big boats were out deep. Doing lakers, I assume. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. I wish it was more straight forward but the Ranger tracks better trolling and is much more stable bashing big waves. It's also more stable with 3 people moving around. The Lund jumped up on plane at such low speed that it was great to just bounce spot to spot with and it was also fine for 3 people as long as the waves weren't too big. Then it got tossed a bit more.
  5. My next one will be pedal. Twisting around casting gets old, although the anchor generally fixes that.
  6. I had a Lund Impact 1775, which I loved. There’s nothing like the way a Lund jumps on plane. I have a glass multispecies now. Ranger FS621 that I trailer everywhere. It’s great. Lots of storage. Stable. But a lot of problems with the trailer. Brakes, tire wear, etc. And my gas mileage is crap. A little over 9mpg when towing. I fish alone 90% of the time but still love the big stable platform. I have started to think about maybe downsizing to a Lund again though. It would just make trailering and launching alone that much easier. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. Bonifide fishing kayak. The tracks are great for accessories. It paddles fine and I can stand up and cast. I really love the Anchor Wizard. It makes stopping to cast so easy. Only have one pic and I think I posted before, but... Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. On the auto models I have, there's a sensor that makes them auto inflate and a manual pull cord. They don't switch back and forth. If they're auto, they're always auto, with a back-up manual pull cord.
  9. I have 2 of the cheaper Cabelas and 2 Mustangs. Needless to say, the Mustangs feel better so that's what I wear. The Cabelas have also both auto-inflated on their own. One in a boat compartment and the other in the backseat of my truck. It's good to have extra re-charge kits on-hand just in case.
  10. Awesome! Congrats to you both. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  12. I have the same Ulterra on my 21' Ranger that probably weighs 3500 with the motors. Even with the 31 size AGM's I can barely run it as an auotpilot at 3-4 power all day and no way I could use it as the only power. I'd think it'd be fine for 0.5-1.0mph though. I do that at times but never for long periods so I can't say how long it can run like that. I think my top speed is 2.5-3.0mph. If I get out again this year, I'll check.
  13. 3 days in the books for me and nothing but a couple of pike so far.
  14. I think I marked him or his buddy going through the same area on Friday. We had fun in the tourney. Luckily I brought someone who could catch a fish because I didn’t get one on Saturday. Here’s our fish. On a Custom X Mini 6.75. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. I fished the Clayton area last year. Tons of structure there to fish around. My only muskies came banging deep rocks but I also had a couple of rip and gones out in 60fow around bait. Good luck! I'll be out there as much as I can in December.
  16. I'm planning on it. Probably won't register until I can confirm a buddy to fish with next week though.
  17. It was a good day. Nice mix of fish and a couple of those tigers were thick. Lots of great info on the bite and fishing in general too. The water release on those tigers is definitely the way to go. They beat themselves up so bad even holding them in a net but if you can just pop the hook out next to the boat they take off fresh. It was fun and educational. Thanks again, Justin Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

I caught one like that once on Oneida. Pretty freaky looking but I didn’t keep it. Heck, maybe it’s the same one. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  19. I hope so. I'm going to try to get down there in the morning. Thanks for the report.
  20. Awesome fish! Congrats
  21. I’ll probably be going Li on my next boat and definitely want to try the Power Pole Charge charger. Being able to control which batteries are charging on your graphs or cell phone while running/trolling sounds like a game changer for the way I fish. Usually makes sense to wait a bit with any new electronics but that Charge looks awesome. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

If you're marking suspended fish up on bait try running faster. I generally stagger lines around 20' down (+/-5-10') and run 2.0-2.5 for those fish, and have had stretches where the fish wouldn't go unless it was 3+ (not often). The other way guys do real well is slow and low. Under 2mph and within 10' of the bottom. Lots of ways to catch 'em but those are a couple if you like to troll.

Inline boards catch the weeds but when they're bad I put a snap weight 50' ahead of the lure or just an OR-16 clip if I don't want to affect the depth I'm running. That'll catch the weeds so your lures run clean. I'll also bury the tips of my leadcore rods in the water sometimes so the weeds catch the rod and don't go down the line.
  24. Almost all my kings come on the 3.5 Grinch. I’ve tried a few colors from 3.0-5.0 and always come back to that mid sized grinch. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
