  1. That is great that you are teaching the youth about the outdoors Kevin. You have lucky Grandsons to have a grandpa like you. Nice eye by the way!!
  2. Very impressive number of eyes Johnnywalleye. What lake were you on? Hebert?

  4. Way to go Bosco! That is a nice catch. lt was a nice night for fishing. I have not launched on the bay with the high water.
  5. Nice work bosco. They are nice healthy looking eyes. Did you get them after dark?

  8. Have to fish by canoe or kayak until it drops. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. That is awesome. Have to keep that technique in mind in the future. Were you kayaking? That would be even more exciting. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Very nice Greenhornet... I would never guess to go for them right on top. Were you using floating rapalas or similar sticks?
  11. I plan on trying to figure them out a little better this summer. Getting my boat from storage today. Sounds like you are a veteran I bay eye fisherman. Sounds like they are resident fish and not migrating for bait. Good info. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Hi Bosco, From old threads on here, eye fishing doesn't pick up on I bay until mid summer? Linked to bait fish? Not sure about this but if you look back that is what some of the regulars have said. What time of day did you fish? Thanks for the report. 13. Hi Kevin, do you know what the water temperature was where you had the eyes biting? Just curious what the conditions / factors that turned them into active feeders were. Great job as always!
  14. Thanks for sharing some of your hard earned river wisdom guys. My hat is off to you for being dedicated night fishermen right thru the winter. Sometime this year I plan to give it a try and I'll report how I do. I enjoyed the story and pic of your Dad's lunker Lyk2fish. Awesome. 15. From your experience what do you think the best months and river flow rate range to be for casting to the eyes? Great pics! Thanks.
  16. Great perch day! Congratulations to you and your dad. Don't worry about the detractors comments.
  17. Unless the sheds were mounted on skull caps whoever took that picture got more than just sheds.
  18. Thanks for the explanation... now I know what you mean. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. Hi Justin, just curious why you consider the Kitech plastics to be more convenient than Gulp minnows? I understand price. Is it that they more readily available?
  20. White VMC jighead and a 4" Gulp watermelon & pearl minnow. I was out there again tonight knowing the weather pattern is going downhill from here and only got a Sheep-head and 2 yellow perch. Failed to get a set on a couple of more takes. Putting the boat in storage and getting out the bow out now. Good luck if you continue to go for them.
  21. Fished on I-Bay this evening with a friend. Caught my first eye from the bay around 5 pm. It was a nice evening to be out. My friend landed a monster 33 inch catfish as well. Thanks for leaving a few Devo and for sharing some of your knowledge on this forum. Good start to build on. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. Probably between 30 and 40 thousand! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. I agree Mink. Best way to learn is by doing and then adjusting. Reading will help to speed up the learning process on new water though.
  24. What I like reading from the DEC reports on lakes where they do angler diaries is the summary data. It is pretty informative. Basically lets me know what to expect in terms of type of fish / hour of fishing invested. The old 2009 I-Bay report even reports the walleye catch specifically for night fishing. I find their reports helpful but I like to look at current reports because waters can change fast in a year or two. Maybe I will ask for the 2015 updates. Thanks for the reply Lucky13.
  25. Is it new this year? The one that came up in my search was 2009.
