Had a fun night. 11 for 14. Lots of action in the 220-240 range trolling west. Took your advice straight out of the Genny. Consistent action all night. NBK continues to be the best spoon on the boat. We got mostly skippers, a nice steelhead which we lost close to the boat when it jumped and shook the lure. And a mature king. Took the big king on a purple spoon down 70 ft. Put up a huge fight. It was spent and did not look like it was to survive. So we put it in the cooler and gave it to a nice guy on the pier when we came back in. He was loving life. My son brought a friend that has never been on lake O, he couldn’t believe it. Had the time of his life. Fishing seems to be solid. Thanks again for the info.
After days of crazy wind we gave it a try for the last few hours Monday night west of the Genny. Found 49 degrees 100ft down in 280ft of water.
Two skipper kings and one nice steelhead on a NBK.
We weren’t marking much of anything.
Flat clam night. Ran out the last couple hours. 90/240ft was 44 degrees. Hooked a mature king. Took a while because I was alone. But finally landed it after a long battle. He bent my net, crossed two lines, and made a mess of my spread. Worth it. Beautiful night.
Went out tonight a little west of shipbuilders. 100-175 ft. Down about 80 ft. Bunch of small kings. Went 1 for 3 with mature kings. Lost a screamer on a flasher fly. Kevin’s girlfriend flasher with a pickle sunshine fly. The other two hit the NBK spoon. The matures were in 50-55 degrees. 4-6pm was when things turned on for us. Fun night with my son who has not been out yet this year. Good luck out there.
Nice night, light wind. Had the lake to ourselves. Temps deep but were not marking much. Made it out to 180 ft. Decided to head in closer. Finally started marking fish 100-120.
Took a mature on my outside wire dipsey, out 135ft. Green and black spoon.
Made two big major runs on me. Great night. loop
