Make sure when you reinstall switch you orient it with the momentarily spring loaded side UP. So when you toggle the switch momentarily up, the motor starts running. Switch will return to center, but motor will run up until the auto stop stops it when the cable breaks surface. Also, with the switch properly oriented as above, if the motor runs the wrong direction simply reverse the wires to the motor. My above notes were wrong, had to reverse the wires. Ok, the releases they come with won't hold braid, and I tried the Sam's pro releases again today, and they won't release the braid. I'm wrapping it 3 or 4 times, maybe that's why. Or it's just that braid is too thin and digs into the rubber. I think I will tie in a section of 30 or 40 pound mono just so I can use the in lines. Fleas/Cottonwood-7/3 pm

Oh ****, now we have two types of fleas, and cottonwood? I ran into cottonwood on etie this year, worse than fleas. Yes you can get them off easier the next day after they've dried, but that's no help when you're trying to fish. Sent from my XT1030 using Lake Ontario United mobile app -
The water logged foam I removed was from another Boat I restored: see the complete transom and floor restoration post on this forum. I notice this Grady White has the same type of spray on foam. After seeing what happened with the foam on the other boat, I assume this Grady's foam will do the same eventually. I actually think the pool noodles will not absorb water, and have quite good flotation characteristics, certainly better than waterlogged foam. But, if not, it is easily removed. One pool noodle can float a human being, albeit a human is not as dense as an outboard motor of course. But they do float well. I can easily Pop the inspection panel and check them periodically. Got to the ramp today, 4th of July. Backed boat into the water and noticed my Winch HANDLE WAS MISSING. So, no fishing for us today. Got a new winch at Cabela's. Yes I Know you can buy handles online but I want to fish tomorrow. So, I have now padlocked the handle to the trailer. Sent from my XT1030 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I built a prop guard out of a tomato cage, for my kicker motor. I have had a rigger line sheared off, and lost everything. Thank goodness it was before I had the fish hawk! On other occasion a fish has gotten tangled around the prop. If you can weld, this is pretty easy to make. If not, you probably figure out how to attach a cage of some kind. The sheriff's Marine patrol checked me at Olcott. My flares are expired, I carry them anyways because in an emergency, if they work, who cares. But, I have a small electronic strobe light that says coast guard approved. They accepted this but they were not sure if it meets the requirements.
