So I have been looking for a couple copper setups, convinced a buddy to sell me what I needed. But only way he would sell what I wanted was if I bought the matching pairs from him, so I ended up buying 4 reels when I only needed 2. Both are the older gold versions of the SG47LC one spooled with 300 copper and the other is 250 copper. He told me he used the 32# copper and 30lb braid backing, none of it has ever seen the water. Just a fair warning the 300 copper reel is VERY full, he said once you let it out and reel it back in with some weight on it, it will pack in and be fine. Even if you don't want the copper line, the reels are in very good condition. I will put up some pictures later tonight. I would like to sell these as a pair, $175 shipped

Just about every cleaning station in Pulaski area offers a smoking service during the run. Some will smoke your fish overnight and give it back the next day, some even offer a "trade-in" service where you get an equal amount of smoked fish on the spot. If your prices were competitive and you offered fillet service as well, most places are mobbed with people looking for atleast their fish filleted during the run. Lot of competition in the Salmon River area though. I would think your best bet for summer would be get in with a good size marina and the charter captains there.

I looked at the Amish one too, they have a tube file version as well. It was a little cheaper than the dreamweaver box but I think the Amish one only held like 17 tubes. The dreamweaver one holds 34 tubes and they will fit a rigged fly if you coil up the leader.

I decided I want to add another 300 copper reel to my arsenal... Before I buy everything and make one myself I figured I would check if someone had one they wanted to get rid of.

I looked into packaging options (specifically plastic tubes) and found a few options but most needed to be bought in bulk to make the price worth it. So I bought one of these and it works great, you can store 2 unrigged flies or 1 rigged in each tube and it comes with 34 tubes. I need two 6” sections of track if anyone has a couple laying around, before I buy new. I could always use longer sections if someone has them too but 2 6” will work. PM me

I went ahead and ordered some SST Pros, I have had very good luck with Offshore's walleye boards so we will see how these work.

Anyone have any experience with either of these boards? I have used the standard size Offshore boards for years and they have always worked great for me. I am looking to get a larger set for longer coppers, the church boards are like $15 cheaper each which is nice but I have 0 experience running any church boards.

You should probably say where you're looking to fish as the reports differ all along the south shore.

Two weeks ago we did well in 120-160 fow straight out of mexico... 5 Kings, 2 lakers, 1 brown. Caught one of the lakers on a 3 color in 150 fow. We were getting the kings down like 50-60ft.

Depends on what your running... FF usually short leads ~25ft, for spoons I use longer leads ~75ft

Not sure what you're saying in that first sentence? What kind of retrieve problems are you having?
