  1. I'm open to launching from someplace different... I just heard they weren't catching them in Mexico and they were in Oswego.
  2. Appreciate that but I don't need a place to stay Oswego is less than 90 mins from me. Just looking to do a day trip
  3. I do have dipsy rods but unfortunatly not with wire.
  4. Lot of firsts planned for this coming Friday... First time to Oswego, first time on Ontario and hopefully catching my first salmon! Think we are going to launch from Wrights Marina but that's as much as I have figured out. Any advice on where to go or what to look for would be much appreciated. 5. Interested in the wire reels if you decide to split up things. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. so a loop knot when attaching fly to flasher but a swivel when attaching a spoon to flasher? What about attaching the flasher to the main line?
  7. Looking to head out for my first time ever this coming weekend, so I have a few rigging/terminal tackle questions. First my flashers all came with snap swivels (one side a ball bearing swivel, the other side a regular swivel). My question is how do I attach these to my main line or leader (whatever the case may be). Seems like a lot of terminal tackle to use a snap swivel on my main line to attach to a snap swivel on the flasher. Same question on the fly/spoon end, should I just tie them to directly to the snap swivel on the flasher? Seems like that would really slow down on lure changes? Also I would definitely use a snap swivel to attach to the spoon right? I'm obviously new to this and could possibly be over thinking it, but if I'm going to do it might as well ask and do it right the first time.
  8. Added that one to my order last night! cant wait to try them out... FYI the rigged pictures convinced me to buy them rigged over un-rigged.
  9. Looking to pick up a few 8" flashers, looking for some pro-trolls or spin doctors perferably.... let me know what you got thanks!
  10. New guy here from NY (just outside of Rome, NY)... long time bass/walleye guy. I run a 18ft alumacraft CS with a 150 Merc, and I'm slightly ashamed to say I live just over an hour from Lake Ontario and have NEVER fished or even been out on the lake before! Been doing a lot of research and hopefully plan on catching my first salmon this year! My port of choice will most likely be Mexico and I joined up to learn everything I can about trolling for salmon!
