  1. I just got some blanks that he had never finished..The one on the far right was his light blank not hammered you don't see many of those any more and the one on the far left is a 66...I put split rings and hooks on half of the ones I got and the rest I might never fish with.. Great piece of Lake Ontario salmon fishing history.. His spoons are what most copied.. I still have some he hand made on his boat for me and those are retired and in hiding.. 2. It should be fine .. I been launching on east side.. it's a good launch and free..and no walk to trailer . No need for waders did not even need them before docks were in. Both are nice deep steep launch's and easy to use . Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  4. I can tell you we took the pens out, they were not easy to move but with 2 boats and taking your time it's not hard. Just slow. And if 50 % of them did not come back in the stream we saved a bunch...there were over 100 birds roasted in the trees just west of the ramp. And if we had let them go. In the stream and they did not scram fast as soon as it got light out in the am all we would have done is feed them. Also the night we did it the lake and stream were almost the same temp do to the cold weather ...and the lake had nice color from the winds the 2 days before...maybe some returned to the stream, but I bet alot of them spread out down the warm dirty water and saved them selves from the birds.. I am by no means an expert on fish but I have been fishing since I was born and spent tons of hours on the water, and have fished for just about every freash water fish in NY. Maybe what we did was a waste of time but there was only 2 boats and 6 people and we gave it our best effort, and did what we felt would increase the chances of as many fish as possible surviving.. also not many people would have used there boats to do this it's not easy on them the pens scratched our boats some but again my boat is made to be used and worth it if we saved a few fish so we all can enjoy them, wether it be lake fisherman or stream fisherman. 5. Yes it's worth it to take them to the lake..I know it's not easy because I just di the steelhead pens but we did it at night and then by morning the lake had some chop so the fish got spread out..if you let then go in the stream they hang out and are a huge target. It took 2 boats per pen and about 4 hours to do it but I am sure we saved 1000's of fish Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. So your saying if there is 3 guys on a boat and a 3 man limit is in the same livewell, or cooler it's against the law? I can't see that being true...if so every charter boat on lake Ontario breaks the law every trip they always put all the fish in one cooler. 8. Only reasons I don't do buckets is they are harder to store and I hate the noise they make when they hit the hull on an aluminum boat. I had used buckets years ago they do do the job. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. I have a 19 foot alumicraft with a 90 and I can troll it down ok going in to the waves or on a flat lake.. but I run 2 bags all the time no matter what. It does 2 things let's you run a few more rpms and gives you way more control. I have a rope to the front of them hooked to my forward cleats and then a tail rope to the back cleats . And I fish by self all the time I put them out by just tossing them over one at a time and holding the back rope to get them to fill. The biggest trick is to not make the ropes to slack keep it so the bags are as far forward and you can and not have them pull out of the water, and the back rope tight so they can't wander under the boat. Mine the front of the bag is about even with the steering wheel . Or a little forward . The other thing I do is carry an extra set of front ropes all set and ready to go because they can wear on the side of the boat and break. More than once I have had to replace them on the water..also always run 2 one makes the boat pull horable to one side. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  17. No clue if is collectable ...when I was selling tackle we used to sell them to stores in what they called dump bins. It was a huge box that of lures and they were mixed every box had a different mix. The store had no pick of color or size or style. They just bought it cheap and put the box on the floor and people picked though it.. I sold a ton of them that way. I have bunch still but none in packages still and they catch fish for sure.
