  1. I like the last picture, makes me hungry. Much like Vanilla Ice, sometimes it’s time to go solo. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. They are not. Every year seems a few brave salmon decide to run up this time of year after a good rain, especially out east. Usually the staging starts late August once cooler air temps and water temps show up close to river mouths. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. That’s awesome sk8man Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. Some good points in this thread. I think for the most part social media spread information like wildfire whether it’s good or bad. You post a picture or two of your outing and next day, your place of fishing becomes Cleveland zoo. I enjoy posting pics but without the background, and willing to help anyone that has questions about fishing related subjects through PM. Adrian Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. I sent you a PM RR, that's the worse part of the day to go pal. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. What time of day were you fishing RR? That is very strange that you didn't mark any fish. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. Also use this link, Ajax buoy gives all kinds of goodies. http://surfradar.info/publ/dashboards/ontario/pickering/7-1-0-14 Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. Weather network for winds. But I've been screwed before last week when I wanted to get out at Port Hope with pontoon and instead of N winds, I got SW which prevented me from going out. Go figure. Ended up getting one in the marina. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. RR, the thing with coastwatch is that it's a satellite reading. If you see the colour grey or black, usually it's cloudy outside and the readings are not what they truly are, when it's white, usually it's a sunny/clear day and surface temps are correct. Today they look misleading and are not accurate. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. I usually keep my eye on the surface temps around the area where I want to fish. I use "Coastwatch" on my phone to determine what the surface temps are like, close to shore shows around 66-67F all over north shore, way too warm for my liking, best is between 55-62F, than those fish will hit, otherwise you will be washing spoons. 11. All I can say RR is that, unless the water temps cool down to low 60's or upper 50's, your chances of catching anything will be slim to none. The fish are there, within casting range but not very lure happy. I been out at Port Credit with my pontoon, marking. Fish but not interested. Usually east is better but with the recent rains, muddies up the water at the river mouths so you need to find colder water and cleaner water which might happen by Saturday if we get the North winds. Last night the surface temps were around 67F near shore out east end, not much better around Bronte or Credit, that is too warm for salmon to be chassis spoons or cranks. Good luck, I might go out Saturday evening somewhere out east, if water temps go down. Adrian Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. They all look so appetizing. The last one looks to have a back problem, not a beer belly issue. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. Curios to see what's in the stomach. Maybe ate a duck on surface. LOL Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  14. Maybe I will see you out there Will, I will be out with my orange Colorado pontoon. Good luck if you go, water temps have dropped to 63 this morning, that means they will be in close these days as long as the surface temps stay in low 60's. Adrian Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. I think just casting from your kayak glow spoons at night will work or cleos during the morning or evening hours. I find the J13's in the fire tiger work really good mid to late September for those salmon. Adrian Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. They look so happy together. Good job Charlie. Not easy being solo, you did well. Adrian Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  24. I would say it weighed around 10lb or so. There is a formula to use to calculate the weight of a fish. I think it's Lenght multiplied by Girth multiplied by Girth and divided 800 should give you approx weight of fish in pounds. Nice Atlantic. Adrian Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
