Tough to burn out a lake when they stock 4200 a year and they reproduce on top of it.. if they were catching giants on the regular it would get a lot more pressure but low 40s high 30s seem to be normal.. I'm sure mid 50s are in the lake but I've never heard of anyone landing a 55" like st Lawrence.. I hear about an occasional 49 or 50.. beautiful lake though I was glad to make it up my first time few weeks ago..

I put my 19' tracker on that side ramp at the launch marina and had no problem but could not believe how low it was either

They have a lot of sites to help you build your own but lurepartsonline.com is a good site to use and get an idea on pricing.. That is just one site there are many though

I have really got big into that this year.. After you hook a big musky tiger or pike the hook should b sharpened or replace anyway.. I like to cut it in the net also to avoid getting it into the hand after few times it gets old.. If you are unsure of the size I would take the lure right to bass pro gander or whatever you have and compare in the hook and split ring section.. Wouldn't hurt to get a bunch of diff sizes I carry anywhere from 1/0-4/0 treble

Thanks.. The heat had them turned on that day.. It was 86 degrees and humid it was brutal until you get the shade from the trees..

I have caught many big pike on sandy pond by fishing the big weed beds by the island and the opposite side by the boat launch and cabins with a white 1/2 spinnerbait over the weeds.. I have had some outstanding days on this lake.. Also trolled it one evening going across the lake from the island and had one of the greatest trolls I have ever experienced for pike..

Thanks man likewise glad to be a member of both.. Wish we had a local chapter out of Utica to make the meetings a little easier for chapter 69 or figure a way to group FaceTime when we can't go because of the distance
