I agree with the state launch. $6 to launch but when you see the headaches by the Black North with the traffic and people it's worth the money. Plus there's only 12 trailer parking spots on the east side. Last year they even built up the docks for the high water on the state side. Sent from my SM-N950U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Hey guys just wanted to give a heads up before the weekend. The launch on the west side of the river is closed from the high water. The launch at the Black North is open right now but the water is on the top of the cement. Probably could still launch with sneakers on if you're careful. I'm guessing they'll close that one soon too so hopefully it we can get one more weekend out of it.
The docks are part of the Country marine park which opens the 15th like Hillbilly said. I would guess probably late next week they'll start putting them in.
I just replaced my old Lowrance and don't have a use for it. Everything works on it and is included (transducer, wiring, fuse, GPS, brackets, and owners manual). I'm going to be honest, the sonar isn't the best. I never could get the sensitivity right and I'm not sure if it was because there were 2 separate transducers on the boat that interfered with each other or if it just wasn't adjusted right from the previous owner.
I figure it would be a perfect graph for someone looking to add a separate screen for a GPS and setting waypoints. It has a SD memory card slot too (I'm guess for mapping but doesn't have a card with it). Also it has a flasher setting for ice fishing and fits in the original Lowrance Ice Pack kit.
$75 for everything.

Fished both days this weekend. Saturday night went 4 for 4 between 120 and 250 fow and Sunday went 8 for 11 with most fish around 110 fow. Most came off spoons with a few on FF on the wires. Only 1 fish on cutbait. The cold water was in and we hit 47* down 80 feet. Most fish were marked between 40 and 60 feet down. Was a bumpy weekend out there! I was out around noon on Saturday for a shakedown after replacing my lower unit. Had great temp all the way from 100-260'. Went 4 for 4 on kings and they came at 120', 180', 200', and 250' so they were kind of everywhere! Only fished 2 hours and it was good but more importantly the boat ran awesome after our repair. Good luck when you go out! Sent from my SM-N950U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Amazon is the best that I've found. The prices change almost daily though so keep watching. A few weeks ago both 30 and 45s were $87 each. Sent from my SM-N900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
