  1. I have a small boat with small setup. I'm interested I directional divers and divers that will reach 50-75fow minus the big pull. I do not own dipsy rods but do own 7' medium heavy rods. Mainly troll finger lakes or trib. Primarily walleye & trout. I have never owned dipsys and need to know some things. What is the significance in dipsy color ? What brand would you recommend ? Any insight is helpful. I'm trying to learn. Thanks
  2. What was the agreement
  3. I fish for bass walleye pike, but this year I tried for Kings on a trib for first time and was pretty cool. I looked at a couple vids for whi and am super impressed. Good luck to all of you ! Well wishes.
  4. I like dog decoys. Maybe warm up some homemade chili over the fire and bring the kids out for some rec time. Hell, get the wolf cry from nature store out..lol
  5. I fished the Creek in rush since I was a kid. Your best shot is above the falls this time of year but you won't get back too far on foot. At the falls fish have moved out befor summer. But your odds of getting anything there are pretty slim unless you have a kayak. Even then,it's slim chance. Where ever you go make sure there is some deeper water around, like a point. This time of year they are following baitfish which means deeper water. They are transitioning to winter homes. Hrs of available sunlight and water temps are the biggest factors especially on creeks. Lakes are different story. Good luck
  6. It has a single hook so it's good for salmonids as long as hook gap meets trib regulation. Or throw a treble on it and this time of year use a snap & drop retrieve for bass, Pike.
  7. Yukon snowshoes. 25", rated 200lbs, adjustable bindings, BRAND NEW, NEVER USED. Comes with poles and carry bag. $50. Message me and I will send my phone # or leave your #. Dave
  8. That's awesome guys ! I didn't hear any drag peeling, not even a little. Maybe a minor adjustment may land a higher %. Just my thought. Don't be mad. Great video tho !
  9. Talked w/guy @ launch in summer after a days fishing. He caught 3 bows drifting with worms and jigging in 35 fow. They should be up higher even now. I hooked a steely @ Niagara in 12 ft last wk. My suggestion would be find the baitfish. If the wind is blowing from West fish the East side. Wind will push bait.
  10. Thanks guys. Would love to go there a couple times a year but sounds like too much hassle.
  11. I was reading about the reservoir and the verbage concerning fishing license was confusing about the entire reservoir. Do I need a PA license as well even if I'm fishing NY side ?
  12. I'm going this wknd. However I'm drifting in a boat. There also are plenty of Niagara river videos on utube as well. Don't know how much it'll help but will let u know
  13. Let me know about that lews. Tax time I'm buying something. I prefer a versatile combo that throws everything well vs matching technique to a specific rod/reel combo.
  14. Sounds like you will buy lews. I have no issues whatsoever with with my Garcia. Anything under 3/8 for me is finesse, which I use my open face spinner on a medium action. I prefer it that way. I get good distance on my Garcia. Are you freespooling or close to it ? I'm throwing straight 12 lb mono on main line. Could it be the line you have spooled ? Makes a big difference. Then again maybe its preference, different personal style of fishing, but I guess money can buy higher grade too. My dad has a quantum which I have used. I still like mine. Hope that helps more than it confuses...lol
  15. Brand new never used Yukon 25 snowshoes. Adjustable bindings, up to men's 11, rated for 200 lbs. Comes with poles and carry bag. Paid $75 plus tax. Yours for $50. Winter prediction is above average snowfall. Great for ice fishing, trails, hunting, etc. Send a reply and a phone # or I will send mine.
  16. Cellar - OMG... I THOUGHT YOU WERE TRYING BASS FOR LAST TIME....sorry bout that, have to laugh at self for that one
  17. The bass masters tourney was won on the north end by KVD on a large flat with thick weeds. Cast into holes with LIGHT weight or weightless finesse worms. Not sure what the depth is, looked somewhat shallow, but might get lucky with a couple catches if they have begun transition to deeper water. If not shallow go deeper.
  18. Awesome info guys ! Jim, is it OK to come visit you tomorrow ?
  19. Oh by the way I live near rt 15/martin rd, just a few miles away.
  20. Bosun, thanx much. I like throwing swimbaits too ! Yeah the pike eat anything swimming. I like to throw some lures without a leader but don't want to get bit off either. Hate that ! I may fish deeper just because of that reason.
  21. Wow ! That's surprising. Guess the baitfish are still shallow. Think on Monday I'm going to try for smallies. If I can't find them in a couple hrs I will target pike & lrg mouths. They should be midway on the lake points I believe ? Thanks for the tips !
  22. Just curious if you caught yours shallow, less than 15 ft ?
  23. Its definitely fall transition and I am fishing later in the year than ever before. I'm targeting bass pike and walleye. If you have a recent report or your experience this time of year on conesus, it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks much !
  24. Welcome ! This is a great site ! I haven't been a member too long, but I have learned some things here and have made several friends as well. I even have been out on other boats as well and had a great time ! There are many opportunities available to be part of bigger things as well. Look around and ask questions. Members here are a great help. Enjoy !
  25. Great job ! Beautiful fish.
