Entering Canadian water
Lilogundog replied to Lilogundog's topic in St. Lawrence River Fishing Reports - 1000 Islands Fishing
That is what I thought I read online but then I got confused. It seems like you are right as long as I dont get off the boat or come to land I should be fine. That is good to know. I probably wont spend much time on that side I just didnt want any trouble. I have also heard of people crossing and not even knowing it. Sent from my SM-G950U using Lake Ontario United mobile app -
I just bought my first lake/river worthy boat. I spend a decent amount of time in cape vincent during the spring and summer months. I was wondering how I could legally enter Canadian waters and also fish canadian waters. I assume I need a canadian fishing license that I could buy online? Also what happens if I accidentally enter canadian waters? I just want to figure this all out before I go up there and get in a stupid situation. Looking for a used deep v aluminum boat in the 16-19 foot range. Tracker, crestliner, starcraft, sylvan, lund, brand does not really matter. Need something safe and reliable to bring my daughter along. I do not want a boat that needs any major work done to it we want something ready for the water. Looking to spend around 7000$ please let me know if you know anybody who has something like this forsale. I added pics to show a general idea of what I'm looking for. I find it hard to believe they didnt know it was a bow only zone... even if they weren't sure it takes 2 seconds to go on the dec website or look in your hunter safety book. She didnt tell me about it till about 6 hours later when I got home from work. I would have liked to go down there or send an officer. Sent from my SM-G950U using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Wife was at burger park yesterday in 8c taking pictures saw a guy get out of his truck in camo. Asked him where he was hunting to stay out of his way he said they were doing a push towards the park way. He got out with a shotgun she said they shot about 45 mins later. I always thought burger park was bow only... am I wrong? Sent from my SM-G950U using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Well I live off Payne beach so I spend some time hunting behind my house when pressed for time. My wife's family has a cabin in 8r which is my primary hunting grounds. Today I was in 8h where I have permission to use private property where my stand was stolen. I know some of the neighbors in the area aren't too friendly so I'm assuming it was one of them. Welp somebody got away with my tree stand. Have been saving this spot all year to use this week I finally get up here and I have no tree stand. Part of me is pissed and just wants to go home the other half of me says find a log to sit on and take advantage of my time being here. Over an hour drive from my house. Have a few questions about the bay. We spend a few weekends every summer in cape vincent and take our little 16 foot bass tracker in mud bay and past the bay to the lake when its not to rough. Is chaumont bay to rough for a boat like this? I know its a large bay but i dont know how rough it gets. Also im not asking you guys to reveal your hunny holes but any tips on where to fish walleye on the bay? How deep? Im sure most stick baits would work fine as long as i can get them deep. What time of the year do the walleye stay in the bay or go deeper into the lake? I spend 99% of my time targeting pike and bass so walleye fishing is a whole new game to me. Any advice would be great. Sent from my SM-G950U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
