  1. when I use to troll with my 115 I use to have a trolling tank mixed at 100 to 1, I ran that boat for better than 10 years that way, the motor still runs good.

  8. I use wire for eyes. I use wire on my low divers and braid on my high divers. The wire seamed to catch all the eyes that were bigger. I don’t know if it was because we run them the deepest or something else? I also use magnums for the low divers. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. I new you would miss the big water boat but I thought you would make it at least a year. Lol you looking for something more family friendly??
  10. My low divers are 8 foot, my hi diver rods are 9-1/2 foot. My riggers are 8-1/2 foot. Your in a great place to find used equipment. (Lou) keep watching the for sale adds on here. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. They only have 1 model I could find and it’s 1500.00. I like the controller on the DRES-400 it has some nice options. But there is no way I’m spending 3000.00 on 2 riggers. Just my opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  15. I agree. There are over 1 million walleyes that go thru the narrows on the bay of Quinn every year in early spring, they have to be there somewhere. I see guys from the north shore posting pictures of great catches of walleye All the time on other sites. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. We target them on kinzu in the summer. They suspended down about 25 to 40 feet in the water. We use the same type lures and bait we do for walleye just downsize everything. They have soft mouths so we use #6 circle hooks and don’t set the hook they set it themselves. We also troll no faster than 1-1/2 mph. The slower the better for them as they don’t like to chase it. The average we were catching on Kinzu was about 14 inches. They are fun to catch and good eating. We use 1/2 a nightcrawler on small worm harness for the most part. 17. I saw some MAGNUM METALZ at the Niagara expo. They looked like great down riggers, has anybody bought and tried these out?? They claim they will bring up a 25lb. Weight at 200’ / min. There rod holders look good too. They look a lot like the ones I built for my boat. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  19. I have one on my aluminum 17 footer on a 70hp outboard. It helped a lot but I never needed it before I hung a kicker on the back. Can you distribute your weight forward more? I ended up moving my gas tank to the front of the boat and moving my console forward about a foot any way because I couldn’t fish in the wind.. my front was way too light and it blew all over the place at walleye trolling speeds. Now that I moved everything I probably don’t need the hydrofoil. Just a thought? Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  20. You know I find that odd too, I live close to Kinzua and have been fishing it for 25+ years, I do catch my Share of walleye there. But the average sized walleye for Kinzua is only about 16 inches. Anything over 20 is big up there. It’s not known for catching big walleye. It does however give up 1 or 2 odd monsters every year.
