I’ll be fishing out of the oak next week, starting Thursday until Monday. I hope you have a few left for next week... Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
I have a Suzuki 9.9 4stroke fuel injected. It’s a twin cylinder no vibration plenty of power to push my 24 foot cabin cruiser. Sips gas and you can’t hear it run. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
If your fishing out of the oak stop at captains cove they have really nice king sized nets with rubber netting and extendable handle cheap. I’ve been using mine for 2 years now and love it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
I was eating tires on my trailer. Tool it to have it aligned and found that my rear axel was bent and trailer needed aligned. Fixed my problem and only cost me 136.00$. Haven’t blown a tire since. Was scrubbing them off in 1000 miles before. Cupped so bad they would blow out. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
When I fish them I let all my colors out and my backer has to be in the water at least 6’. Good luck. [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
You could save a lot of money if you friend some of the locals that have a boat and pitch in on gas and help with maintenance. Not as convenient but a lot cheaper. If your bent on buying one I would say get the biggest boat your comfortable with. ( I’ve never been on the lake and wished for a smaller boat.) Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
This is what makes LOU such a great site. Excellent idea Hachimo. I’ll have to go thru some of my older stuff. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
I relocated my batteries up in the bow. I have 4 of them. That really helped take the wondering out of the steering and it jumps up on plane faster. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
They are bigger on the cuddly end, you can fish 4 people really good. I run 2 riggers, 4 divers , 1 tail gunner down the chute and 2 coppers off the planners. When my wife and I go for long fishing weekends we sleep on the boat. It’s great for that. It’s no speed machine but it fishes very well. I have a 9.9 four stroke we use for trolling. It will troll down to 1.0 and up to 4.0 unless the wind is blowing harder than 15mph. They we drop the bags and fire up the big motor. It’s a great boat for what we use it for. Nice report. I’m so jealous, normally by now I’m on my 3rd trip out of the oak for spring browns. Haven’t went fishing yet this year. 🥺[emoji45] Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
1/8” aluminum diamond plate. Looks great and works perfect with this boat. I did one a few years back. I wish I would have taken pictures. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
