  1. Got out 8:45am - 2:45pm, trolled north from T-Falls up the west side almost to Sheldrake, and back south again on the west side. Started with a nice 21" LL, then a bunch of 2 - 6 pound lakers, couple of tiny rainbow, another LL 19", it slowed down late morning and then I got a beauty laker this afternoon, 33 inch 12 pound 12 oz... hit a purple/black/pink honeybee spoon 60 feet down in 240 fow. It had one red eye, likely from being caught in the past. My 2nd biggest laker ever, gave a great fight, and it was a beautiful day out there.
  2. It was purchased new in 2005, and only used about 10 times from 2005-2009, then stored away in a garage until this summer. Works perfectly, with very low hours.
  3. Here's the original Minn Kota advertisement video for it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nocCxWJTwk And there's a good amount of info about it here, however mine has the longer, 42" shaft... http://www.turtlemarine.com/minnkotavector55.html
  4. Anybody interested in this Vector with 3x steering motor? Supposedly a pretty sought after model Minn Kota.
  5. I didn't, but the laker I got wasn't a super long one, it was an unusually fat one. I'm guessing around 30". Hard to say. I find the weights vary a lot within the same length. Really need the girth measurement too to estimate.
  6. Very nice laker! It's likely me (3rd place) you would have knocked off the board, had you entered the derby... assuming that laker is over 9 lb 9 oz which it looks like it probably is. I think Bear will run that derby again next year, likely with a bigger turnout. Was a fun one.
  7. I know most guys like to fish up north, but for me I love the myers location weigh in, easy access from T-Falls, and I've had a lot of solid fishing in the area and just north of there, mostly on the west side, between T-Falls and Sheldrake. I don't feel the need to go further north for the most part, except for just general curiosity and expanding here and there, or for another derby that's up there. Landed 13 fish during this derby, all lakers and LL. Biggest were an 8 lb 2 oz laker in the morning, and a 9 lb 9 oz laker in the afternoon, ended up with 3rd place (first time I've placed in any derby and I know weights were fairly low, was thankful and had a lot of fun). I saw some beautiful big salmon (one just over 9 lbs) and beautiful browns weighed in too. Congrats to Tom and Mike. Looking fwd to the fall derby!
  8. Fantastic fishing! Good luck with the Kings.
  9. Signed up this morning, picked up a nice 6 lb laker on the way over to Bear's. Gonna be fun, this Saturday. Hope any t-storms pass quick.
  10. Minn Kota Vector 3x 55 lb Thrust Electric Motor Very lightly used Minn Kota Vector 3x 55 lb Thrust 42" Shaft Electric Motor in excellent condition with a weedless prop. If you know about this model, you probably know it has a special 3x steering design as well as a maximizer that extends battery life. The Vector model ran $400-$450 when new. Purchased new in 2005, and only used about 10 times from 2005-2009, then stored away in a garage until this summer. Works perfectly, with very low hours Price reduced to $160 or $210 including a lightly used deep cycle battery. Ithaca, NY area, no shipping
  11. 2004 Johnson 15 hp 4 stroke (like new, electric start) 2004 Johnson 15 hp 4 stroke outboard with electric start in excellent, like new condition. Less than 20 hours on the motor and it's a long shaft, tiller model. I have the original manual and gas tank to include with it. This motor was part of a gift in 2004 a friend bought new for his 75 year old Father. Motor was used only a few times per Summer season from 2005 thru 2009 in fresh water. Before the motor went into garage storage in 2009 it was serviced, tuned-up and winterized. Summer 2017 it came out of storage, was put into the water, started right up to test before selling and runs perfect, like new. Located in Ithaca, NY $1800
  12. That's one quick slam, wow. I noticed the fish did seem to turn on a bit more toward the end, as well. Ended up doing an extra hour or so of fishing instead of making the drive to the weigh in from T-Falls since I didn't have much worth weighing. Glad to hear the turnout was solid, and it will continue next year.
  13. Those are solid size boxes, very nice. How did you do suttontroller94? I couldn't seem to connect with the bigger fish much yesterday. Half dozen very small LL, one 18" rainbow, 5 lakers but nothing over 4 1/2 pounds. One big fish on, early afternoon but it got off. Nice cool weather out there.
  14. Looking fwd to it. The dates are Sept 9th and 10th, 2017, aren't they? Just double checking. Thanks.
  15. Another beauty thick salmon! Picked up a 30" laker out there today, thought it would be heavier when I saw it, but my scale read 9 lb 8 oz.
