    Actually it is a landlocked two major keys are the maxillary or back of mouth extends past the rear of the eye on a brown. This one does not...The adipose fin on top would have orange flecks and be a different shape... color can be affected by diet...so don’t judge the fish by color alone the way he is holding the fish isn’t helpful for another difference but my money is he’s right..

    Agreed I found plenty of fish way outside temp ranges they should be feeding in and slammed them... but I found them first on sonar, then put the lures on them, at the right speed, then varied presentation and lure color to find what they wanted, as well as speed as a last resort via the zig zag.     Dang... what sk8 said....I dont have time to be too old school I use the hawk for speed and temp equally important and I get as much as 1 mph difference between top and bottom speed on cayuga.     The only difference would be id target about 1.7 at the lure, flasher spinner bee combos, small spoons, try a spread of variety see what hits...which is my lower end, realistically the fish typically hang in cold water anyway its just that they will be more spread out...

    Echo what he said above about safety please ending up in the water unless you are in a survival suit is certain death. Loss of an engine if you don’t have a backup will put you in a very dangerous place so have secondary propulsion and wear a pfd. Just as a frame of reference the coast guard would not authorize a water launch to get you for the auxiliary due to temperatures. All that said good luck be safe catch fish

I am currently reworking my dash and looking to network two hds units and go with a total scan transducer...so I can use side scan down scan and the mapping all on bigger screens...
