I fished the tributaries on both lakes this past spring and fall the difference is night and day. There are so many salmonoid species in Cayuga lakes tributaries. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
I’m just curious why is Cayuga’s fish population so well off? They are similar lakes similar landscape. What is going on in Seneca that isn’t in Cayuga? Heck they are even connected! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Agreed. I think if publications made this more a relevant topic, and the public was more informed we would see much more support. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Not to mention there is a spot from shore where lakers are available to catch a certain time of year. For the past two years I haven’t caught or really seen or heard of anyone catching as well. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Perhaps all of the sewage that was dumped in this year. 35,000 partly treated out of Dresden. Also 5,000 of raw sewage out of marsh. Just seems like no one is aware, or really cares it a shame. If there is anything I could do to get more involved please let me know I would love to help! I know a few web designers who could possibly set something up. Just got back yesterday from the cape. We fly fished on some of wellfleet's beaches. Caught a lot of smaller stripe bass. Really fun and a lot of action. Especially when the big pods of bait are right in front of you! Not sure what equipment you have but my brother in law was using med spinning gear and crushed them. If you are near orleans stop by goose hummock bait shop lots of supply, and great advice Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Any tips on trolling for land locks rainbows brown trout. I will be fishing Seneca, any tips on depth spoons leader length? I have two riggers that I can stack. I was told to try and mimic a school of bait fish. Would cow bells be best for this? Any tips would help a ton! Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
