Chaos at the launch ! Rolled up around 2 and there was a line down the road.... Anyways. Ran out east to 350 and setup on a north west troll. Picked up plenty of fresh steel and some 2yr old kings, all nice and shiny. All fish came from below 80 in the >50°. Tons of big marks up high around 40-60 so I left some lines up there to see what the deal was, never took a bite. Temp at that depth was mid 60's. On the troll back in the graph was getting better and better. When I pulled my last line there had to be 4-5 giant hooks just hanging there. Ain't that the usual! That was 285fow. Today's mission was to get some meat for the new smoker and we ended up with just that. The whole family joined and it was flat calm. Quick run, lots of laughs and fun ( and snacks all over the boat floor ). Dirty white boy was best spoon and black with green/crushed spinny and ATOMMIK fly rocked as well. Might as well save bandwidth and post report here. Went east out of piers about 3 miles. Setup in 130 just to see what was up. South west troll and graph showed nice marks between 100-110. Riding high around 40-60 fow. Did a little of everything from meat to jplugs. Colors. Depths. Speed. South troll. East troll. West troll...... NADA. Got a bit past piers and called it. Only marks were around 100 and they looked good.... Shortest trip in awhile. Hopefully she sets back up next couple days. Got heckled by a guy on the piers on our way in.... Lol. Eyecatcher !!! Holy west wind batman.... Sustained 15-20's. Came out of the harbor and setup in 85. Trolled into them as they seem to love a west troll. We had a hard time getting the lines in between controlling the boat and the king after king after king. Was a quick run as we hit the water about 530pm. Everything took fish. Black spinny atomik fly. Straight carbon 14. Carbon 14 behind a big custom flasher, green jeans, white/green dot spinny/atomic fly. Combo of mag and #1 dipsys. 85-95fow. Fish hanging 60-80 feet down. Temps were 50-58°. Not even sure how many we boated. Lost a few, 2 skips, 1 big steel, the rest were majors. Most were males. Straight chaos and trolling into them. Bite slowed down after a bit so we turned and trolled with the waves. Ran from 60-110 with no bites. Took it south to the piers and stared taking bites again. Doubled on the riggers. Lines were all out by 60fow. Great run !! No pics unfortunately since we were battling the wind and waves and also filling the cooler. GoPro footage uploading now and if it worked I'll edit and post.
