  1. And the view this morning... Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Got the vaseline out and squeezed 70% of the boat in the garage at home. Ran a bunch of wires... 4ga (copper) from dist block in back where both motors will connect to, installed flush mount cannon plugs, ducer wire, trollmaster wire, speaker wires, bilge power, sending unit power.... I think that's it. All wire is straight copper. Still a bunch to do.... Plugging away Big thanks to lineman49 for his more than generous offer. Unfortunately no pics, covered it up and back in the driveway. Back at it in the AM Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Awesome stuff. True hero's deserve more than what most business are willing to give. Kudos to OATH, keep up the good work ! I'm no charter, and can't guarantee any fish, but I'd take any vet out anytime! Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. You could I guess. The main benefit is 2 lines off one rigger. That kinda negates it. I don't see any benefit to that other that you could not retrieve your ball after it pops Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Just bought 2 to try this year. Looks interesting and allows you to not bring up rigger if one fires on the hawks. I'll prob end up running cheaters per popular recommendation though. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Sweet ! And a fatty !! But, I think your running your boards wrong....lol Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. PM'd. As far as price goes, i checked eBay for similar units, there's a few on there. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  11. SOLD Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. So, hopeful to accomplish a few things by Sunday.... Run wires for batteries, install new fuse block, install perko switch, install circuit breaker, tune up the kicker, mount the electric. If all goes well, start throwing riggers and rod holders on. We shall see, man I miss the garage space !! Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Finally had a chance to mount red dot and sight in. I'm ready @60 Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Cables are short, I think 4' but I'm sure you could buy a longer cable. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Nope. Newer style. Tanish silver. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  18. Came off a 99' bf15a. Have controls, cable, and wiring for elec start. All in ok shape. Make reasonable offer. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. I'm nowhere near ready for that... Lol. I actually bought a few of the smaller Chinook divers to try out for browns. One run with them so far, no hits on them but they appeared to dive great. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. More controlled chaos. I like it. I think I'll grab some chamberlains and have a few 8' cheaters ready to roll this year. See what I like and what works for me. Thanks for the tips ! Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Ok, bare with me all, so if I'm running a cheater, I do my usual release off the ball, send it down to depth, then clip on a 8' or section of "cheater" one side/swivel on the main line other side has bait. Drop it down and it will find it's way to the bow in main line. Once I get one on the cheater, I'll be pulling up 2 baits and one fish. Doesn't that typically end in a mess of gear, with a fish on ? 22. Was able to pull up a nice instructional video on the chamberlains. They seem extremely newb friendly and I love that they pop when they hit the pulley. Will suck to have to pull up the whole rigger to get release but that would happen anyway even if I ran 1 line. So, does it make more sense to stack and add a rod in the middle Vs doing 2 dipsys and a board per side ? I don't have high leads or copper though, so I'd have to put some sort of diver like torpedo or tadpole to get me deep enough. Im thinking at this point I'm better to stack then add boards Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. I also saw the "shuttle hawk". I like the idea it returns to surface after release pops and seems very easy for a rookie to use. Anybody have any experience with them ? Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. Well, chamberlains Def seem to be a favorite. Sliders, as in the release the just uses a swivel to run down the wire ? Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. So I'd like to give it a try, and I've heard good reviews on a few different releases and methods. Help a rookie out and shed some light on the subject ! This will be on a straight king program and i don't intend on going offshore too often. So far I like the idea behind the cannon release that has 3 tabs for your cable to go in,over and back in. That looks easy enough to me. Another concern is using the auto up on the riggers, should I be concerned about sending the clip in to ladyO if I'm not watching for it coming up and it hits the pulley ? Am I overthinking this whole thing ? TIA Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
