  1. Wow. Lucky you caught it when you did !
  2. It's definitely never portrayed to anyone to feel obligated to do that either.
  3. Friday was the 5th annual Reelin for a cure charity event. As expected it was a bit sporty and the fishing was a grind ( especially when your in a tin can ). My team, " The reel housewives of Orleans county" were able to bring 3 mature fish in the boat. We worked for them though, between the water, the weeds and the fact that all 3 king's wanted to get real stupid at the boat, but we made it happen. Couldn't be happier with my girls performance. The new addition to our team was put at the helm as we beat into them with a mature on, and what a spectacle that was. She did great but that dang fish just wanted to stay outside my outside dipsy. 1 fish came on the outside dipsy - 11" chrome/crush paddle with uv meat head @333 and the other 2 came on the deep rigger with a custom spinny/fly combo that Dreamweaver and A-tom-mik put together specifically for the tourney ( HUGE THANK YOU AGAIN FOR THAT !!!!) Water temp down 100 was 71, but the screen was too good to move on. All in all, we placed 9th with only 3 fish and I'm 110% ok with that, considering the talent at this event. Stephanie and Capt Vince put on a fantastic event and for such a great cause. Thank you both and thanks to all those that donated. I highly recommend all of you consider fishing it next year. The atmosphere at this event is something to be seen and so different than any other "tournament" I've been to. I've said it a few times, but I'm so humbled to fish with these guys and gals considering my lack of experience and time on the water, not to mention the ship I take these gals out in. Big congrats to Capt Rick Hajecki and the Yankee troller ladies for the win. Capt Rick pulled a real stand up move by donating the winnings right back to the benefactor which is beyond commendable in my book. His donation will be used to potentially save lives. KUDOS !!! Looking forward to 2021, come join us !!!
  4. If I die without ever seeing a spout in my life, I'm OK with that

    Walleye Net

Finding seams in rubber nets is one of my many talents..... I have 2. The frabill collapsible is always the go to and the smaller ranger is always on standby. I'm a big fan of having an extra net on standby. I like em both.
  7. Possible trades for gear. Let me know what you have.
  8. I may have a cable if needed
  9. He's my son's official-ish sponsor, and a great guy !
  10. Let him know, tablets make the best bait..... Nice work on getting the kids out, nothing better !
  11. One of the advantages of wire / disadvantage of braid is fleas. Braid will load up with fleas much quicker than wire.
  12. Just curious, did you take the whole unit off the boat alot ?
  13. Have clean reg. Good trailer, decent shape. New LED lights. New tires and rims. New bearings last season. Bearing buddies. Also have 2 spare tires on rims. Bunks good, may need some carpet. Was the stock trailer for my Sea Nymph GLS 196. Will try and get some pics up asap. I rattle canned it grey last year. She's not mint but it will def do the job. Asking $500
  14. Couple wire dipsys and some beefy holders for them, a couple high leads or coppers for your planers and your styling I love a 6 rod spread, 4 dipsys and 2 riggers. Once in awhile a 10 color or copper on a in line. My boat is no giant either, but pick your days and watch the wind. Also, prepare for a pile of completely wrong forecasts, it is a great lake and if your not comfortable, put it back on the trailer. No fish is worth the risk.
  15. Don't act like you don't know....
  16. The A-tom-mik flys where taking a beating yesterday for me. I'll need a new one that took its final beating. 2 face spinnys and live flys.
  17. Found em ! Straight out in 220. Small pod of hungry fish. Got a couple matures, doubled up, lost another mature at the boat, a skipper, and a teen. When this kid hooked up on his first king, it did what I hoped it would. Outside dipsy set at 169, quickly went to 360. What a battle. And then when the fish hit the deck I haven't heard laughter like that in awhile. It's safe to say he had fun and wants to come back and battle king's again. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  18. A buddy has his nephew in from Mass. Hopefully we just find a few !thanks all
