  1. Saw it. We had plastic in rigger cables and divers. Fished around it but our fish came from deeper water. Lot of weeds too. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Certainly was a grind. Fished between Wilson and Olcott. Roasted Friday for 10 hrs. with 12 bites. Boated 5 coho, 2 kings, and lost two kings at back of the boat. Mostly spoon bite, from 30 ft to 85 ft down over 170 to 220 fow but biggest ho (about 9 lbs.) came on a two face spinny with green fly on a 300 copper. Absolutely no pattern at all. fish were scattered. No marks. Fish had almost empty stomachs. Saturday. Being cloudy, would have thought it would pick up. 4 bites from 6 am till 2 pm when it got a little rough. 3 hos and 1 king on a carbon 14, which we we broke off in a rigger cable. Spoons, with one on a pink maglip on a 3 color core. We tried to cover all water columns. Ran meat 80 to 110 down and it never took a shot. Very few marks, decent bait balls 70 to 90 fow. 3. Stealth presentations help. Run longer leads on your riggers and try to find your own water away from the pack if u can. Also we slammed the coho last weekend on 5 color core off inlines. Good luck. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Running slide divers with real long leads set on a 3 setting help when theres lots of boat traffic . Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Have it on my Lowrance Carbon and have never needed it or used it on Lake O. Great for looking for structure and brush piles in the local lakes. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. The park at Wilson has a nice launch. The bar isnt that far and I had plans to run down there but never made it. Found plenty of fish 1 to 4 miles west of Wilson. The area around the red can at the bar has been producing a lot of fish. Good luck Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. You probably cant go wrong with a 300 copper. A 10 color core will give you about the same depth as a 300' 32 lb copper. The 45 lb copper will give a little more depth but requires a bigger reel. A 7 color core would run around 35'. So you cover different depths. A 3 color and a 5 color can be killer in spring, but probably not so much into the summer although there certainly are exceptions to that as well. 8. I have used the regular Suffix core with good results. Last year I switched to Tufline Micro lead. Sink rate about the same, about 5' per color. The main advantage I can see is the smaller diameter lets use a smaller reel and still pack on a sufficient amount of backing. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. May 7th. Good king bite west of Wilson. Best water for us was 75 to 85 fow. F/F bite good early. Spoons later. Took fish on riggers, mag divers and slide divers. Long lines never took a shot. Ran everything 40 to 60 down. May 8th. Little tougher bite. More coho than kings. Riggers, Mag divers and slide divers, and 5 core took more coho. Standard spoons. Spoon in pic on 5 core was hot for hos. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  14. Heard there are some coho around Wilson and have caught several but never targeted them specifically. Typically run my salmon flies 22" behind flashers. Is this approximate length the same for peanut flies behind 6" flashers? Probably try them behind 3 and 5 cores. Any pointers for targeting cohos?
