CVA Accura V2 50 cal with the Nitride finish.  Cant go wrong Rob.

this is an awesome tack driving ml. easy to remove the breach plug by hand after firing several rounds at the range. my big or rather my older brother bought me one a few yrs back. when my son needed a new gun I bought him one for Christmas 2 yrs ago. I gave it to him early and he got his deer that yr. we went to fl during our ml season last yr. this yr he got his deer opening day. they are fine rifles that shoots straight.

if you can find one of the old Remington 1100 shotguns in decent shape they are hard to beat. the I believe the Remington 1187 is a great gun.

  2. the sealine 47 reels will work great for kings and last you for many many yrs. the sealine sg47lc5 is on sale at cabelas.com for 69.88 each with free shipping. your not going to beat that price on a sealine reel. the sglc3b left hand reels is the same price.

  3. yeah I had the accura v2 with the thumb hole stock and loved the way it shot. and clean up with the hand removable breach plug was a breeze. but some friend got in the closet and stole the v2. so this yr I hunted with my encore.

  4. we have a dick's in our town. I was doing a lot of shopping there, but no more. the only guns we own is muzzleloaders and our hand guns. but I support those who owns assault type rifles. my nephew owns a ar10 that he uses for hog hunting down south.

    • I don't refreeze any meat. I was getting ready to make a trip to tn. went down in the basement to the freezer. opened the door to get some walleye to take with me. everything was thawing out with mushy fish and deer meat. I called everybody I knew to come get what they wanted. the freezer was broke and it broke my heart but it was still cold enough the meat was good as long as it was cooked in the next few days.
  5. I don't know anything about the coldwaters. but have used daiwa sealine daiwa accudepth plus and convectors. the daiwa sealine is the best of the 3. but its kind of a toss up on the accudepth plus and the convectors. I used a set of accudepth plus for yrs and never had any problems. I only used the convectors for fishing our local lake. i've had them for a few yrs but they have been good reels. if money wasnt a big problem i'd get shimano tekota's. but if im on a tighter budget i'd get daiwa sealine sg lc3b reels. if thats still to much i'd p;robably go with convectors then accudepth plus lc3b reels. this is based on my opinion only.

I would take that deer anytime it gave me a shot. thats a nice buck to have this early in the season. its kida like the old saying, don't leave fish to find fish. in other words don't pass on a nice buck unless you know bigger bucks are in your area.

I got a little 10 pointer on the 2nd day of hunting back 37 yrs ago. I hunt public land and any deer is a good deer. i've taken a few other bucks but nothing better than that 1st little 10 I got. just be thankful your not having license stew this yr.
