  2. the ez steer worked great for me.
  3. this is an awesome tack driving ml. easy to remove the breach plug by hand after firing several rounds at the range. my big or rather my older brother bought me one a few yrs back. when my son needed a new gun I bought him one for Christmas 2 yrs ago. I gave it to him early and he got his deer that yr. we went to fl during our ml season last yr. this yr he got his deer opening day. they are fine rifles that shoots straight. if you can find one of the old Remington 1100 shotguns in decent shape they are hard to beat. the I believe the Remington 1187 is a great gun.
  4. great prices on these items. just the easy steer rod is well over 100.00, ebay has the rod for around 150.00 each. any set of used manual riggers is worth 200.00.
  5. the sealine 47 reels will work great for kings and last you for many many yrs. the sealine sg47lc5 is on sale at cabelas.com for 69.88 each with free shipping. your not going to beat that price on a sealine reel. the sglc3b left hand reels is the same price.
  6. get a tru trac klincher terminator off ebay for about 6.00 then use a good set og dikes (diagonal pliers) to cut off the bad cable and install the terminator to your cable.
  7. merry Christmas to you all and your families.
  8. yeah I enjoy trying to get them all in one pass. if I miss a couple i'll go back and get them after I get to the end of my pass, LOL.
  9. hey we've got to stick together. just thought it might help knowing what a deal you was offering. merry Christmas to you all here at lou.
  10. these are 150.00 each new on ebay. this is an awesome deal if you want swivel bases on your big jon riggers.
  11. yeah I had the accura v2 with the thumb hole stock and loved the way it shot. and clean up with the hand removable breach plug was a breeze. but some friend got in the closet and stole the v2. so this yr I hunted with my encore.
  12. we have a dick's in our town. I was doing a lot of shopping there, but no more. the only guns we own is muzzleloaders and our hand guns. but I support those who owns assault type rifles. my nephew owns a ar10 that he uses for hog hunting down south.
  13. i've used mixed gas before. just add a few gallons at a time. back during the gas shortage I ran out of gas a couple of times at night. used boat gas to get me to the next station.
  14. I don't refreeze any meat. I was getting ready to make a trip to tn. went down in the basement to the freezer. opened the door to get some walleye to take with me. everything was thawing out with mushy fish and deer meat. I called everybody I knew to come get what they wanted. the freezer was broke and it broke my heart but it was still cold enough the meat was good as long as it was cooked in the next few days.
  15. what spoons do you have for sale?
  16. lets drop it to 75.00 shipped to your door. thats just over half price. if you have tracks and riggers this is the only way to go.
  17. the big jon looks to be wired for auto stop. does the big jon have auto stop?
  18. these are around 150.00 each on ebay. 175.00 for 2 is a steal.
  19. if you plan on using tracks with your riggers you cant go wrong with this traxstech 6" wiser with swivel base on it. new one on ebay and amazon 137.99.
  20. I have 1 6" riser with swivel base. I know it fits traxstech, big jon, and scotty downriggers. 85.00 shipped.
  21. they have a new 2000# for 179.00 with free shipping on ebay. but they also have a 2500# for 199.00. and lots of used ones that still looks good for around 100.00. but i'd rather spend the extra and get a new one for 179.00.
  22. I don't know anything about the coldwaters. but have used daiwa sealine daiwa accudepth plus and convectors. the daiwa sealine is the best of the 3. but its kind of a toss up on the accudepth plus and the convectors. I used a set of accudepth plus for yrs and never had any problems. I only used the convectors for fishing our local lake. i've had them for a few yrs but they have been good reels. if money wasnt a big problem i'd get shimano tekota's. but if im on a tighter budget i'd get daiwa sealine sg lc3b reels. if thats still to much i'd p;robably go with convectors then accudepth plus lc3b reels. this is based on my opinion only.
  23. i've been using pay pal on ebay for the last 10 + yrs with no problem.
  24. I would take that deer anytime it gave me a shot. thats a nice buck to have this early in the season. its kida like the old saying, don't leave fish to find fish. in other words don't pass on a nice buck unless you know bigger bucks are in your area. I got a little 10 pointer on the 2nd day of hunting back 37 yrs ago. I hunt public land and any deer is a good deer. i've taken a few other bucks but nothing better than that 1st little 10 I got. just be thankful your not having license stew this yr.
