As i read this i gather that these must have been a head type charter and not the UPV type that most here are ? Anybody have more information on this ?

The most important thing is how it has been stored. Heat and light are lines biggest enemies. I have bulk spools that are years old and as good as the day i got them. They stay in freezer except when filling reels. Keeps till gone

Ask yourself this. Do i want to be safe or sorry ? If they are getting stiff its a sign of deterioration. 9 years. Its time to change them. Its not worth the tragedy that could happen. IMO -

Rubber Bands and In-Line Planer Boards

I believe what he is saying is the same as i run copper setups. The weighted steel or copper is put on in specific lengths 300 , 400 , etc.generally with braid backer. All of the wire is let out and board is then clipped to the backing line. I run the mag size inlines set up to trip. Sams pro release on the front and pad with the pin on the back. The Sams release holds up well to the braid and wont slip its also very adjustable. Works well for kings or eyes on erie. Hope this helps 👍 -

In the 7mm i use 160 gr with reloader 25. I'm going from memory here as I'm not looking at my notes on this. In the area of 62 - 63 gr ( check latest manual). Free jump is near .060 from rifling. This is sub moa in 3 different rifles. All are m77s of different vintages. Multiple elk and deer have been takin with this out to 400 plus yds. 338 rum : 210 gr tsx with reloader 22 or 25. Fed mag match primers with both calibers. Have found in 338 that 100 yd groups dont always tell the truth. Sub 3 inches at 500 yds but 1 inch plus at 100 ?? Good luck !👍

Maybe. How much and how old ? -
Another thought on this is if you are just setting up 1 as a chute rod or multiples to run off boards. Long coppers will require big boards or magnum size inlines set up to trip or the results are not good 😠 . lol a 20 lb king and a submerged inline is a hell of fight. Sams pros work well for this and hold up to the braid backing. Go into the tackle and techniques section and read for the love of copper by legacy. Very informative and will help you with your questions

You need to give a bit more info on what you are looking for depth wise. Copper takes up alot of reel capacity so length is a big factor in reel size. I use atomic copper but i know many guys are going to the weighted steel torpedo wire. It is said to be more forgiving and runs near same depth and its diameter is smaller. It takes a 55 series reel for 250 to 400 with backing shorter 150 to 200 will fit on a 45 series. If you have deep pockets takotas are great. Convectors are very for the money. Just my 2 cents. Sure you will get more .☺

Put power to unit with motor unhooked and test voltage coming out of board. Also check from motor leads to motor housing to see if you have an internal short. You should have resistance through the motor. 0 is open 1 is closed on meter. Hope this helps. Test other rigger to compare . Good luck

Call Cummings net company. Will custom make whatever you want. Fiberglass or aluminum handles. Solid hoops and any size or type of basket. Price is fair. Nearly indestructible. Fiberglass handles up to 16 ft if needed

If you have a 0 ohm reading this shows it to be an open circuit. Possibly a brush issue or the windings are bad
