    Hachimo,

That is AMAZING!!! Congrats to you and your wife. What a day! We've gone 6/6 and 6/7, never hooked up more than that. Gives me a bit of hope for our trip in September!

    L.J.

Came close hitting these kinda numbers in late August/September but never in July.  And the size! Seen 3 kings out of mexico over 26lbs today.  Only talked with a handfull of guys this afternoon.  Setting up to be a great September

  2. What a day!  Started in front of the plant on the bouey line with a spoon spread for browns. Took two skipper kings from 5:30-6:30 and started trollin north to get a litlle deeper and deploy a king spread.  Hit 120fow and pulled short coppers and 10 color and had 3 skipper browns taggin along. Bit disappointing but proceded north to 160fow and things got crazy.  Deep meat 107down with white casper kingfisher/white glow a-tom-mik meat rig started doin damage followed by glo bullfrog kingfisher/ a-tom-mik glo frog meat rig down 90.  Then 400 and 450 coppers with 42nd spin doctor with fly and glo frog spin doctor/meat rig both fire.  Stayed trolling a 1/4mile stretch back and forth and hit the clicker 19 times for bites landing 17 of them.  Had 1 quad landing a 21lb 19lb 18lb and skipper and a few doubles. Not bad for the just havin the wife and I on the boat.  We called it quits at 10:30.  By far my best day for kings yet on the big pond.
Gonna try for a morning trip in the morning but weather isn’t lookin to great.

  3. Fished Saturday for the A-Tom-mik challenge.  Typic east end struggle, but managed two doubles putting a king and two steelhead in the box.  And one of the doubles was a small king and 8lb steelhead on the same rigger  lol. That was fun. We finished 21 out of 43.  But the team is coming together and is only gonna get better from here.
Sunday was a stellar day.  I donated my boat to the Fallen Outdoors and took out 4 veterans for a day of salmon fishing.  Ran the same lines same gear and went 7/10.  Start off in 60fow on the bouey line in front of plant.  Rigger down 40 with mag NBK got crushed and a 16lb brown accompanied us onboard.  Minuets later lances two face fires down 40 and brown # 2 comes on board.  At 7:30 I slid out to 140fow and FF down 100 fires and low teen king hits the box. Coho on 400copper and a few steelies.  Great day.  Things r starting to shape up.

  4. Great report Rick. Fished the Orleans county open.  Absolutely loved the way U guys setup that tournament. Very well ran. 5 salmon/5 trout. Takes some strategy to fill that box. Saturday was definitely a grind for us but Sunday we redeemed ourselves with the Big king of the weekend.  24lbs.  Next year I’m haulin my boat out for it.  Thanks again Rick for your part of running it.  Great tournament.

Don’t know why pics came out upside down 😂😂

Nice work. I was running together with a charter from little salmon.  Saturday and Sunday we tried that deep but no takers. We ran along side each other on different lines. Best bite for us was when I ran the 40line and he ran the 50.  60+ lines we were washing spoons.  Looks like yesterday they bumped out a little. Maybe next weekend I will shot for the 80ft line.

    Yes sir,

been a grind so far this year.  Every trip this year At some point I went for lakers just to get some action.this weekend stayed on the king spread.    It was a tough weekend for alot of guys.  I was given some good info and had a great early season weekend.  Finally building some confidence up on the new rig.  Me and my trophy were 1.  I always had bloody decks on that boat.  Now the Baha is gettin bloody:lol:

  9. Finished the day 2/4.  17lb and 14lb king.  Ran a straight Spoon spread and this morning was slow.  First hit cane at 9am and dropped first two then landed the next. 60FOW. Riggers parked at 40-30-20.  Dipseys on 2nd setting back 140-160.  Uv picklseed,NBK,Crushed uv elwife, and dirty broomstick.  Only stingray sized was taking fish.  Great weekend, and great doin battle with these spring kings

Have you guys noticed that running 2 cowbells or death trap rigs off the riggers is too much?

Seems like we do better with just one off the rigger which takes a lot of hits and also attracts the fish into the spread. we run pro troll paddles/spin n glows off dipseys and the other rigger

I have noticed this.  Sometimes I run my 3 riggers and its slow. So I pull my center rigger and the outsides starts hitting.  Hard to say if they hit becouse I pulled a rigger or I just passed over hungry fish.  But i always stagger my leads.  10ft 20ft 30ft.  Does that help.  Who knows but if you don’t try differnt things you won’t learn new techniques that may work.
