Yup super jealous as well. I stayed deep out of Mexico lookin only for kings with no success. Great to see the littles out havin a great time. Great work as a fisherman and a dad!

Today was the day I was waiting for. Almost went home at midnight last night cause lets face it, Two nights freezin ur balls off in a cuddy sucks. Beautiful day. Lake layed down and bite was on. 5:30 am started at the high rocks in 30 Fow and trolled out past the plant workin my way out to 80fow. Hit a 12ish lb laker and not another bump. Turned around and got back to 30FOW. Running a 6rod spread all spoons. 10am hit two browns on NBK off riggers. then a dipsey fires and snaps the line. 5min later same deal dipsey pops and snaps the line. Just bought the two spoons the night before salmon viagra and pickleseed stingers. 11:00 after loosin site of rigger on the graph ( my counters aren’t accurate so i use my graph to set riggers) I dropped it down hit bottom and picked it up and instantly got another brown. after reseting the same rigger I bounced it off the bottom again and another brown. That was pretty cool. Then snapped another dipsey on the hit. so after lossin 3 brand new spoons I put 2 and 2 together and it added up to 4. My stupidity again. Runnin dipseys on wire no snubber and 12lb flouracarbon leader. I ran out of 20lb mono leader. I think they may have been kings hittin like freight trains and a no stretch combo ends that way. One day I’ll figure things out.lol ended the day 7/10 released all but 3 of the smallest browns for a snack durrin the week. Great day.

I didnt fish tonight so took a ride down to Oswego. Never been to wrights so wanted to check it out. No trucks or trailers anywhere and there was barricades to the right that said closed by oswego PD. I’m guessing thats where u park ur truck and trailer? From the looks of things its closed. I should have taken a pic, but didnt think of it. Sorry

Thanks. No Atlantic then. Lol. I was lookin at the x markins, faint color quick and sent him swimmin. Didnt keep him out of water long.

Please correct me if I’m wrong but that is what i thought an Atlantic. Picture dont do it justice as it was floppin in my hands. Had some X dots on it, face seemed longer, and more silver then the browns. think I caught one or two last year and year before but mistaked them for browns. This time of year could be very easy to mistaken them.

3/4 For my morning trip. Two small football browns and nice atlantic. started in 30fow runnin 3 riggers two dipseys and a 5 color mix of sticks and spoons. hit the Atlantic on dipsey out 50ft 3rd setting on sodus pt buckeye. two browns came in 30fow on dipsey and 5 color. gonna head back out around 4ish. sorry for crappie pic. Ive been releasing everything so try to get them back in asap.

Thanks. Hopefully the lake lays down a lilttle. 2to4’s all day today. I got 2 emergency septic systems to replace next week and the following week there lifting the ban for construction. Definitely gonna enjoy sleeping in the boat tonight and maybe tomorrow cause it wont happen for a while.

I’ve been against makin the trip up and I’m sure some people got something to say. IMO if your smart about ur travel and dont make any stops ,no interactions with people ,and your not sick your not spreading the virus. Got the boat in and on the lake at 9:30am. Headed toward the plant. Started at catfish in 10fow. Nothin. moved out to 40fow, marked loads of fish but no takers. ( all muddy water out to 80fow) by 1:00 hit the mud line in 80fow and went 1for3 with 14lb laker. Ran spoons and sticks all different colors. all hits were blue uv jeans and NBK spoons. Went in at 2:00 and took a nap in the cuddy and went back out at 5:00pm. Mudline disappeared so started at 80fow and worked in to 35fow. At 7:30 all hell broke loose. Screen loaded with fish, three riggers fire at 30-25-20 and a 7 color leadcore within 2-3min. All running spoons. Somehow the wife and I landed all 4. 1 laker 15is lb. 3 browns biggest 10lb. Everything was released to fight another day.

Well I gotta come clean. I’ve been against makin this trip till this virus cools down, but back to work monday and was told no time off till mid summer. Got here with no stops, Got The boat in the slip with zero contact, cooler full of food and beer, and sleeping in the boat as usual. Got enough fuel till Saturday so need need to be within 30 ft of anyone.

There was a crew out today working on the dock. Dunno if its open but the barricade in the entrance was moved to block the one side of the ramp.

I had a big chuck living under my shed. And Hachimo (my 125lb 8year old male Rottweiler) loves chasing critters in the yard. Well one day after a 100 or so attemps he finally caught him! Funniest thing I ever seen. He got on top and just froze. The woodchuck rolled,got up and Hachimo ran back to the house. The chuck chased him 20-30yrds. The dog ran in the house and hid under the kitchen table.

Thanks Kevin, I’m thicked skin and really dont get my feelings hurt much. Love to laugh, especially at myself from time to time. With everything goin on today theres nothin better then a good laugh.

Yea but I didnt get them all. I haven’t had any in my house but I’m sure its a matter of time before they get in. Any ideas for rat deterrents? I dont want to use poison cause the chickens r free range and I got dogs. I definitely wont have time to RAT HUNT with the rifle when I go back to work. As of now I have the chicken door open with a motion light on so they trip it and I can get a shot at night.

“Just for you Whaler”, It was a long sit. 8:00pm finally had a little action. 3 rats made there way from the pond, to the sand mount, and worked there way to my chicken pen. Wind was iffy blowin out of the west at 3-5mph towards the chicken coop. After 5min of watchin them run around finally got a decent 75yrd shot. Squeezed the trigger and he bucked and ran behind the coop. Not wanting to jump him I let him go for 20 min, and found him deceased 10 yrds from where I hit him.
