Makes sense to me. Never thought of the weight displacement. Althou I store all my gear in the cuddie, but alot of it comes out and goes to the rear while fishing. The boat definitely wonders all over The place with the slightest wind. thanks for the info

Fishnut how do you like your 2452 for fishing? I’m lookin to get something a little newer. Seen pics of the 2452 but never setup for trolling or been on one. Is there enough deck space for fishing? Seems to be bigger on the cuddie end.

After reading another topic It got me thinking a little about boat control. (I didnt want to hijack that post). so often when the wife and I are fishing and we get a little wind she has issues tryin to keep it straight. I’m wondering if tossing bags of each side would help to control it all. I troll with the main and I can troll down to 2-2.2 so I’m not lookin for them to slow me down as Much as boat control. Any input from u guys. also what size Would I be lookin to get and are they as simple as tie to a cleat and toss em over. Never used bags before as usual. Thank u fellas

Mexico Boat ramp closed
Hachimo replied to hassellmania's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
Out of curiosity, are they even closing ramps at small bodies of water to or just areas that frequent alot of out of state users and high usage? I was planning havin my boat in salmon country by last week. Oh well theres always August or next year. I wonder if other states would try to do the same. I took my 25ft trophy to a local 100acre lake yesterday to scratch the itch of trollin for trout caught 3 stocked rainbows 10”-12”. Lol. Looked like the titanic out there. But even here in PA people are over crowding the launches. After I got in the lot filled up and people actin like nothin goin on. Boats with 3-4 grown men. Obviously there not from the same houshold. I wonder how much more were gonna loose before this thing is over. But on the other hand theres alot who lost it all. -

For what its worth,(in my opinion),after following along with some topics in “Lake Ontario United” theres alot of controversy with opinions with whats goin on. Seeing alot of members I RESPECT conflicting others I RESPECT. I Really hope this time passes soon and We / I get back to getting excited again to see new notifications of people posting pics of catching fish and a rundown of when and where. I hope You all stay safe. Keep on keepin on. We’re all UNITED Here.

Definitely a good idea but a little late now bein alot of guys from out of state already have then. the main reason for the shut down was probly the license plates at the launches. Unfortunately thos who dont give a sh*t ruined it for everyone. Including you local guys. PA seems to be really conserned about mental health. I keep hearing they need to keep state parks open for hinking, and fishing to help with people who may have mental health issues.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but older evinrude and johnson 9.9 and 15hp motors were practically the same motor. Only difference was a restrictor plate in the carb. Therfore bein same weight, so I know myself when I buy a kicker it will be a 15hp. I was also courious about shaft lenght but lookin 20”-25” is the way to go i guess

My question is To what point will they continue to tighten things down. I’ve been compliant, stayin home and doin my part. Starting to feel like a criminal who’s had all rights stripped and locked in a box. And speakin of criminals the GREAT governor of PA just released 1800 inmates to reduce to the risk of covid in the prisons. These people didnt follow the law in the first place does He really think there gonna follow a stay at home order. Theres 1800 more people to run around and help spread this thing to the general public.

Thank u irg for the info I will also look into that. I was told I would have to convert my steering to put a unit on my main which sounded real expensive so thats y I’m leaning toward a kicker with AP. I’m also thinkin this will be the last year with my trophy and may look into gettin a new boat for next year. Thanks again.
